Hey everyone, today I have a quick but enjoyable read to tell you about!
Hard & Fast by Ana Gabriel
Rose Weatherston had dreams that did not include running the family hardware store in a small town in Illinois.
Acting was her passion. So, she went to L.A. to pursue it. However, after time passed with no luck and her rent three months past due she decides to become a personal assistant.
Until she can land a real acting role.
Her boss is Dean Cole, an international movie star.
To say he made a lasting first impression is putting it mildly.
To avoid any awkwardly inappropriate moments in the future she insists on setting boundaries.
Even people with morals breakdown when temptation is right in the mirror.
I really enjoyed this book but I felt it needed a little bit more of an ending. I look forward to the next book. (I am not sure when there will be a next book)

Hey everyone, I hope you are all staying safe and warm. I woke up to snow this morning which is a rare sighting as I am in Texas and most winters we get nasty ice sludge. One night when the two are alone, Skyler's ex boyfriend Jason, knocks on the door. Desperate to get rid of him she steps outside. Jason tries to put on the charm and weasel his way back into her good graces. When he fails to do so he strikes fear into her. When she stepped back she fell into Blake's arms and he tells her to go inside.
Once he learned of her ex she thought he would see her differently.
BUT
she is the one who starts to see another side to the arrogant man candy.
The night of her birthday party the two decide to break the one rule her brother gave her. After all, what is the harm in a secret among friends?
Until emotions run high, games are played and life forces you to gamble.
I LOVED this book! The storyline was intriguing and fun. Some moments were predictable but even the predictable moments had twists. I would love to read more work from this author in the future.

Hey everyone, today I have a little something different to share with you! I normally do not read serials but this particular one peeked my interest. So, I thought I would give a general review. I will try my hardest to avoid spoilers.

The book I am about to share with you is her newest book in the Rock Kiss series but can be as a standalone. I reviewed Rock Addiction on August 9, 2014 and Rock Courtship on September 16, 2014) I HIGHLY recommend anything written by Nalini Singh!

Imagine her surprise when her walk of shame went from a series of company related inquires to a promotion to being his assistant.
Intelligent women are Gabriel's catnip but he wanted Ms. Baird to be his personal brand.
Will her past cripple his efforts?
I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I have said this about all Ms. Singh's books and I will say it yet again, Singh NEVER disappoints! I loved everything about this book! The characters, the storyline, the chemistry and the realism. (when it came to dealing with a traumatic experience.)

I really enjoyed this book in the beginning. However, I went from really enjoyed to like when the book went from dark to down right fucked up. I understand the need for dark moments given the storyline. I just could not handle the animal cruelty. Other than that, I liked the uniqueness of the story in general and the ending was satisfying.

Hey everyone, the book I am going to share with you today is the sequel to Stupid Girl by Cindy Miles ( I reviewed Stupid Girl on June 29, 2014) You do not necessarily need to read Stupid Girl before reading the second book, Stupid Boy. However, there are small mentions in the second book that would be better understood if you read Stupid Girl first, as intended.

Harper's grandmother was cold, cruel, and controlling. Instead of embracing Harper with love, understanding and emotional support. Corinne Belle, insisted that the past remain in the past never to be spoken again with anyone. Including, her last name. That was far from the worst of it, Corinne Belle taught her to fear her, the dark and degraded her all at once.
When Harper became an adult she still lived in fear but put on a believable act for all of Winston University. Until, She met Kane McCarthy.
Kane McCarthy a bad boy with a dark past and an illegal skill, has secrets of his own.
Can a bad boy be reformed?

Will Harper ever be able to reclaim her identity and live life without fear?
I LOVED THIS BOOK! However, this book tore at my heart. As a mother, I was thinking Oh. My. God. How could family act that way towards children? I am not naive, I know horrid things happen to children every day, sadly. I just do not understand such people. What I loved about the book was that even though Kane has a dark past of his own he remains the strong and caring person he always has been. Also, even though both main characters had been through their own ordeal they did not have hate towards the world.
