Risk Me By Lexi Scott

Hey everyone, I am sorry I have not been around for a few days, I have been crazy busy with family. The book I will be sharing with you today is charmingly sweet and heartfelt.

Risk Me by Lexi Scott

Cohen Rodriguez, works at his family's furniture store to help them out. After being dumped by his girlfriend, who claims he is too predictable and has no sense of adventure.

However, the dates he goes on are quite the adventure from getting puked on to having his date practically get it on with her ex, right in front of him.

The only girl he seems to hit it off with is a girl he has never met. Yet, she is his family's line when it comes to their family business.

Maren Walshe has had a crush on Cohen for quite sometime. She enjoys the playful flirty conversations they share in between discussing work.

When she is faced with a double date crisis and the opportunity to meet the man who makes her weak in the knees she seizes it.

From the moment they come face to face they click. Despite their instant connection she tries to push him into the arms of another woman who is clearly not into him.

Maren is dealing with family dysfunction and does not want a relationship thrown in the mix of chaos.

Cohen comes from a close knit family and she is  afraid to let him into her world.

What happens when the person is everything you ever wanted, but life and love include taking risks?

I really enjoyed this book! I loved the characters, the overall feel of the story, and the emotions.

Armed with a list of wild things to do, things get crazy. As the fun rolls on, Cameron's friends add one more to the list. Cameron must hook up with a guy!

Cameron is not a one night hook up kind of girl. She is all about relationships and futures.

The one night Cameron lets her guard down without even knowing his name, her world becomes entangled with complications.

On her first day of work she is shocked to see that her one night stand is her boss' boss.

Well, at least she now knows his name, Aidan Truitt.

Aidan Truitt is the son of a man who rocks the advertising world but was a failure at being a father to his son and a husband to his wife.

So, Aidan grew up to be a legend in his own right, by working for his father's competitor.

The company has a no dipping your pen in the company ink policy.

The two decide to keep their previous encounter a secret. It was just one night after all.

It would never work. Unlike Cameron, Aidan stays away from relationships as if they were the Plague.

Is one person worth risking your dreams?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! Everything about this book was perfect, the writing, the characters, and the emotions! This is a fast paced book that I did not want to put down!

A Touch of Chardonnay By Pamela Gibson

Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well on this terrific Tuesday! The book I will be telling you about today is about lost loves.

A Touch of Chardonnay by Pamela Gibson

Lindsay Reynoso had a one night stand with a guy who took her breath away, stole her heart, and left a piece of himself behind, changing everything.

After a severe injury forced Christopher Brandt to hang up his tennis racket, he traded it in for a tool belt.

After years of non communication the two crossed paths again.

Chris had inherited a property, encased with dark memories and wanted it demolished.

As fate would have it, Lindsay was the cultural archeologist who was sent to evaluate the house to see if it held any historical value and write a report of recommendation on the house's fate.

As the two work together to get her report completed, they become reacquainted.

However, once her secret is revealed it will change everything once again.

I have to admit this book was another one of those reads that took me a little while to get into, but once I was pulled into the story I really enjoyed it. The story was believable and heartfelt.

Her Stand-In Boyfriend By Kelly Jamieson (Adult Only)

Hey everyone, I am back to share a quick read with you.

Her Stand-In Boyfriend by Kelly Jamieson

Lexi Mannis is an event planner who is so busy with her business and friends that she has no time for a relationship. If she is ever in need of a plus one, she has her best buddy Mac to be her stand-in boyfriend.

Mac Northrop is a very successful business man who has no problem getting dates. However, he only has his heart set to the beat of one woman, Lexi.

The only problem is that she has no idea of his feelings for her.

One night, after getting talked into being her plus one to yet another event, the lines of friendship are crossed and things go from friendly to complicated.

Will Lexi ever see him as more than a friend?

OR

Will he have to find a way to accept what is and move on?

I have to admit, while I enjoyed this read, I found that her being so naive was a bit ridiculous. These characters are adults and I find it hard to believe that even with Lexi's lack of serious, long term relationships, she really needed his feelings mapped out for her. Especially, having known each other for so long.

If You Dare By Jessica Lemmon (Adult Only)

Hey everyone, today I have a business meets pleasure read to share with you!

If You Dare by Jessica Lemmon

Lily McIntire found herself in front of the local town's rundown and supposedly haunted Willow Mansion on Friday the 13th.

Legend has it that Essie Mae Epson, fell to her death from a second-story window.

It all started with billiards and alcohol, when she managed to get herself entwined in a dare with her co-worker Marcus Black.

Marcus Black, was a very attractive and successful designer who had it BAD for Lily. So much so, that he put the trip he had won from work on the line,

The one time he had asked Lily out, she had shot him down. She had learned from past experience, that getting involved with a coworker was asking for trouble and heartache.

Since being shot down, Marcus had to try and move on, by becoming quite the playboy.

Attractiveness and desire aside, the only thing the two shared, were making bets and taking jabs at each other.

So, being the prankster that he is, he planned on scaring her out of the house and into a date with him.

What he had not planned on was staying the night with her and being scared himself.

I LOVED this book! It was playful fun mixed with the right amount of suspense!

Redemption Lane By Rachel Blaufeld

Hey everyone, sorry for being scarce the past few days the 10th was my birthday and I spent it with my goof troop and did not get any reading in that day. Today I have a book to share where the past, present, and future collide.

Redemption Lane by Rachel Blaufeld

Bess Williams was locking her inner demons inside and masking the pain with wild times, sex, drugs, and alcohol.

After such a night, she and her fellow party friend had met up at a gym to attend a yoga class. However, Bess was far from being in any condition to do yoga or anything else. That was the day she landed on top of Lane Wrigley and earned herself a ride in an ambulance and a path towards sobriety.

Lane Wrigley is a very successful CEO who cannot seem to stop helping his identical twin brother Jake out of his self made messes, which is how Lane came to be at the gym with an unconscious Bess on top of him.

Sometime after Bess is cleaned up, Lane and Bess cross paths again. Seeing her job as an opportunity to reenter her life.

She does not remember him. Why would she? She was unconscious and he never followed up after the incident.

Keeping his secret, the two become close but that is not the only secret he keeps.

The only way the two can be free of the chains of the past, not let it invade the present and take over the future is to face it head on.

When the secrets are revealed, will they come out stronger or run deeper into their own shadows?

I have to admit this book took me awhile to get into but by the middle I was hooked and by the end I wanted more.

Proposing to Preston By Katy Regnery

Hey everyone, the book I will be sharing with you today is a whirlwind romance.

Proposing to Preston by Katy Regnery

The moment Preston Winslow sees Elise Klassan on stage as the female lead in an off-off Broadway show, he is mesmerized by her beauty and captivated by her acting skills.

She made such a strong impression that even though the show was far from spectacular he returned for an encore.

Elise had made huge sacrifices to try to make her dreams take flight. She left her family, was in debt and took roles in crappy plays to try to catch her big break.

One evening she finally gets a chance to get her foot in the door.

The night Preston returns for an encore performance from the woman he can not get out of his mind, he gets the chance to meet her.

Elise is so ecstatic in one night she catches her big break and meets a charming and attractive man who happens to be her first fan.

What started out as an introduction leads to a whirlwind romance.

Elise's inexperience with love, leaves her head with doubt and the feeling that she must choose between, love of the heart or her love of performing. Despite Preston's support and encouragement.

Will she ever find balance in her life?

Or

Will she make yet another sacrifice?

I REALLY enjoyed this book! I loved Preston's character. His white knight personality and his heart of gold. What I loved about Elise is her determination to achieve her dreams. Even though, before Preston she felt like she was walking alone on her path.

His Millionaire Maid By Coleen Kwan

Hey everyone, I have another fun yet fast paced read to share with you!

His Millionaire Maid by Coleen Kwan

Nina Beaumont has always been given anything she ever wanted. An expensive car, designer label clothes and a promotion at the family business.

Everyone except her family and her best friend treat her differently, once they find out she is a Beaumont.

People who get promoted are usually happy but when Nina overhears that she was not promoted based on her own merits, she is highly upset and disappointed.

While driving, she is on the phone talking with her friend and comes up with the idea to visit a town where no one knows her true identity.

Well, as they say, be careful what you wish for. You just might get it.

One second she's driving and the next, a duck appears in the middle of the road. While trying to avoid the duck, she crashes, and her BMW sinks in the small and close knit town of Hartley.

With nothing but her soggy clothes and her waterproof cell phone, she snags some dry clothes from a clothesline and ends up at the local inn, called The Comet Inn. As fate would have it she is mistaken for a new maid who was to be sent by an employment agency.

Her new boss, Joe Farina, is a hard working man with a heart of gold who loves his small town and the people in it.

However, his dreams of expanding and owning a B&B may stay a dream if he does not get the loan he needs to fix up his property and is forced to sell his property.

Can Nina, who is used to the finer things in life, handle temporarily living a normal life?

Would Joe treat her differently like the people of her past if he were to find out her true identity?

I LOVED this charmingly sweet read about self discovery!
