To All the Boys I've Loved Before By Jenny Han

Hello everyone! I hope you all are well! I am sorry it has been a while since I have done a review. First, I was busy during Easter weekend and then recently I have gotten rid of a cold. I have a FANTASTIC book to tell you about today!

To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han is about a junior in high school who writes letters to a few boys who have made an impact in her life in some way. She stores the letters in a special place. She only writes them to get her true feelings out there, like someone might write in a journal. One day she discovers her letters are not only missing but have been mailed. She has no choice but to deal with the aftermath.

This is the first book by Jenny Han I have ever read and I loved it! I really hope Ms. Han writes a sequel. I will be reading more Jenny Han books in the future! Her other books are as follows:

The Summer I Turned Pretty Trilogy
  • The Summer I Turned Pretty
  • It's Not Summer Without You
  • We'll Always Have Summer
Burn For Burn Trilogy
  • Burn For Burn
  • Fire With Fire
  • Ashes To Ashes ( To be released September 16, 2014)

 Until next time...

Push Girl By Chelsie Hill & Jessica Love

Hey Everyone! I hope you all had a very blessed Easter Sunday!

I recently received and finished an Advanced Readers Copy of Push Girl by Chelsie Hill and Jessica Love via Goodreads First Reads! I am VERY thankful and appreciative!

Push Girl is about a teen named Kara. Her life is forever changed  by the actions of a stranger in ways she never imagined, forcing her to overcome a new set of challenges. This book is about perspective, friendship, love, and following your dreams.

I loved this book! It is amazing! I think there should be more books like this! While I cannot relate to this book entirely, I can relate to this book in a lot of ways. I would love to get more into my thoughts on this. However, I do not want to include spoilers for those who are interested in reading this wonderful story!

Happy Reading!

This Song Will Save Your Life By Leila Sales

The next book I picked up is This Song Will Save Your Life By Leila Sales.  Unfortunately, I did not like this book. I could not even force myself to finish reading it. The following is a summary of what I did read of it.(I only managed to read until chapter four.)

This unpopular teen girl is determined to change things around the next school year. However, when things do not go as plan she gets in the wrong frame of mind then when she comes across two girls that treat her nicely she cannot believe why they are even giving her the time of day.

I know this is a YA novel but I personally would not allow my daughter to read something like this when she becomes a teen. I could go into more detail on my explanation but I do not want to give anything away for those who might want to read this book. Needless to say this book is not what I expected. I strongly dislike beginning a book and not finishing it. Sadly with this book I must. I really wanted to like this book and it saddens me that this book is the first book I not only did not enjoy but this is the first book in years I could not even bring myself to finish. I also felt that since this book held no enjoyment at all I would be wasting my time trying to read something I will not get hooked into when I could be reading something enjoyable. (After all that is what reading is all about.)

To those who have read this book and enjoyed it I mean no disrespect. I am always happy for someone who enjoys a good book. We are all unique with different interests and tastes.

I hope you guys were able to enjoy any and all recent books you read. I look forward to moving on to my next book, I love sharing my thoughts with you all. I always get excited when it is on a  a more enjoyable read. Until next time....

Landry Park By Bethany Hagen

Hi Everyone! I hope you all are well and have enjoyed some wonderfully beautiful spring weather! I am excited to share with you the amazing book I finished reading last evening!

Landry Park by Bethany Hagen is about an upper class (gentry) sixteen year old girl named Madeline Landry, an heir to Landry Park. She seeks more out of life then what is expected of her. She has been told all her life that her grandfather Jacob Landry is a hero who made life better for everyone. That the lower class (Rootless) ancestors were the enemy to progression. That since the Rootless ancestors were trying to stop the progression. Unlike the working class they are doomed to stay at the bottom, never to be able to improve their quality of life. Meanwhile, Madeline is trying to find a way to juggle her own desires and fulfill her family obligations. Along the way she discovers a dark family secret that affects everyone.

I loved this book! If you enjoy books or films like Downton Abbey you will probably enjoy this read.

This book is said to be a first. However, I do not know if it will be a trilogy or a series, yet. I will update this blog entry as soon as I know more.

Can You Keep A Secret? By Sophie Kinsella

Hi everyone! I hope you are well! I do not know about you guys but I have been busy these past few days with family! My oldest daughter is playing soccer this season as well! I still manage to squeeze in some reading! WOOHOO!!!!

I recently finished, Can You Keep A Secret? By Sophie Kinsella. I found out she is the author of the Confessions Of A Shopaholic Series and many other stand-alone books.

Can You Keep A Secret? Is about a woman named Emma Corrigan who meets a man on a flight back home. While on the plane she thinks she is going to die and spills out all her secrets. Later on, she realizes he is not just some random stranger. Things get complicated, crazy and out of control.

I really enjoyed this book overall! It was slow on and off but yet quite humorous with a satisfying end. This is the first book I have ever read by Ms. Kinsella and while I probably will never read her Confessions Of A Shopaholic Series I would pick up another stand-alone book by her sometime in the future.

I know with it being spring everyone is busy with outdoor activities and fun times! However, I hope you are able to find some time to unwind and relax with a good book!
