All Lined Up By Cora Carmack

Hey everyone, I am back with a sports romance to tell you about!

All Lined Up by Cora Carmack

Dallas Cole did not have a breezy time in high school. Her dad was the football coach and her football playing, ex- boyfriend, broke her heart.

The college choices that her dad would agree to were limited, but she was determined to make a career out of dancing. She was glad to be starting fresh and out of her father's shadow.

However, Dallas and her father would both be going to college together. He accepted the coaching position at Rusk University.

Dallas' best friend, Stella, was determined to make sure that Dallas enjoyed college life.

While at a party, Dallas over hears a disturbing conversation about herself. It was between her ex and the hot guy who was hitting on her moments before excusing herself to the bathroom.

In her haste to be alone she runs to a room, goes to the balcony, and screams.

Her screams do not go unnoticed by Carson McClain. While the two are talking, she hears that the hot guy, she was with earlier, is looking for her. She decides to climb down the balcony, where she lands not so gracefully in Carson's lap.

Carson McClain is the new football transfer who is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up.

He is only at the party for the sake of team comradery.

BUT

When Dallas landed in his lap things were looking up.

However, he failed to mention that he is a football player.

AND

He has no idea that she is the coach's daughter.

This is book one in a trilogy. It was a steady paced and fun read! I will be continuing on with the second book, All Broke Down, at some point.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Too Late By Colleen Hoover (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, the book I will be telling you about today has very adult themes and that may be sensitive triggers for some people.

Too Late by Colleen Hoover

Sloan comes from an unstable home life.

She comes across Asa Jackson who has a dark past of his own. From the beginning he charms her and the two date while attending college.

Years later, Asa Jackson is not the man she fell for.

She tried to leave once but she has nowhere to turn to.

BUT

When it comes to making choices, she also has her brother to consider.

Her brother has health issues that require him to be in an in-care facility.

When Sloan found out her brother lost his government care funding, Asa swept in to save the day.

Now, she is forced to move back in with Asa. Things are worse than before. People are in and out of the house, like a revolving door in a hotel. There are parties happening every night and Asa is the go to drug dealer.

Despite all the craziness going on in her life she still manages to go to class, where she meets Carter.

When she returns home and is in the middle of cleaning, she sees Carter walk in the house with Asa. She is informed that Carter is the new guy of the group.

Carter does not seem anything like Asa. He is funny, caring, and sweet.

Is it all an act?

Why is he involved in Asa's drug ring?

This book deals with tragic pasts, as well as an abusive and controlling relationship. The story itself  is very gripping! I could not put this book down. My heart ached for Sloan and her bother and I loved Carter's character.

The Glittering Court By Richelle Mead

Hey everyone, I am back to tell you about a book that released earlier this month!

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

Elizabeth Ruthford is a an Osfridian countess who takes on the identity of a former lady's maid, Adelaide Bailey, to escape an arranged marriage. Her plan is to join the Glittering Court and start a new life in the New World, Adoria.

The Glittering Court is a school where select impoverished young women are chosen and given the opportunity to learn etiquette and skills of the upper class, to be married off to well off gentleman of their choosing.

While it may seem like a noble cause to help the common woman, it is a business venture for the founder and his family.

Each woman signs a contract before joining the Glittering Court and each girl is given a price to be paid upon marriage by the husband-to-be.

However, the heart wants what the heart wants and despite the rules, things do not go as planned.

Will the countess be discovered?

Will she ever find the happiness she desires?

OR

Will this adventure be more than she bargained for?

AND

Cost her everything?

I REALLY enjoyed this book! I loved the story line, the main characters as well as the friendships, and the story pacing was steady. However, the story is more of a historical read than a fantasy, the Governess, Viola, needed to be put in her place (along with others). It is to my understanding that there will be a few books after this one with a different main character. With that being said, there were several gaps in this story line that I hope will be filled as the story progresses.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Club Shadowlands By Cherise Sinclair (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have an erotic read to share with you today. So, if you are not 18 or older please skip this review.

Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair

Jessica Randall's car breaks down during a tropical storm and comes across an isolated mansion.

The owner agrees to allow her inside to wait out the storm.

She is quick to learn that the house is not a home, it is a private club.

Later on, she quickly signs the documents to be allowed past the entrance.

She is shocked by what she she sees, but cannot help  being aroused, as the private club is where a variety of fantasies are fulfilled.

The owner, Master Z, eases her into his world and cannot deny his attraction to this "Little One."

I enjoyed this book. It was a fast paced read. However, it was a typical BDSM read. There was nothing unique about the story line or the characters.

HAPPY READING!!!!

Down to You By M. Leighton (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, 2016 has been an amazing reading year for me, thus far! Today, I have a twisted but steamy romance to share with you!

Down to You by M. Leighton

While attending a friends bachelorette party, Olivia Townsend, mistakes the club owner, Cash Davenport, for the hired stripper.

When she wakes up the next morning in the apartment Olivia and her cousin share, she is shocked to see the hot club owner is in their kitchen.

Until she discovers that the man in her kitchen is not only her cousin's boyfriend, Nash Davenport. There has also been a case of mistaken identity.

There is no doubt that the twin brothers are sizzling hot.

Cash is the bad boy, the type that Olivia has always been attracted to. She has been burned too many times in the past and is determined to find a guy with a head on his shoulders and a mindset towards the future.

Too bad she see's everything her mother would approve of in the brother that is already spoken for.

However, a man is only as faithful as his heart is true.

The Davenport brothers have made it clear that they are interested in her.

As the lines become blurred, it only further complicates things when secrets are revealed. Secrets that could become deadly.

I LOVED this book! It is extremely fast paced, steamy and fun! I could not stop reading. This book has a major twist I did not see coming and when I was finished with the book. I was like NOOO, it can not end this way! HeHe. I will be reading the next book, Up to Me!

HAPPY READING!!!

Beautiful Distraction By J.C Reed (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have a love/hate book to share with you!

Beautiful Distraction by J.C Reed

Ava Cross was doing her friend a favor, when Kellan Boyd's Lambo and her Ford collided outside of a club.

Lets just say, lasting impressions were made. He was a sexy but smug, entitled, jerk and she was quick to put him in his place.

She was certain they would never cross paths again.

Three months later, Ava reluctantly agrees to a road trip with her friend Mandy. Their destination is Montana, where they plan to see Mandy's favorite band preform.

On the way there, things go from bad to worse. They find themselves lost in the middle of nowhere, they get caught in dangerous weather and end up with car troubles.

In an attempt to get help and find shelter to wait out the storm, she comes across a house. When she knocks on the door she is shocked to find a familiar face looking back at her.

Too bad it's not a friendly face. It is the hot, but entitled, jerk from three months ago.

AND

Due to extenuating circumstances, Ava finds herself at his mercy.

Was their paths crossing again a divine intervention?

OR

Just a twisted coincidence?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The story was fun and fast paced, the characters were memorable. The book was predictable at times yet there was a couple of plot twists and the ending was perfection.

Dirty By Kylie Scott (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have a hilarious and fun read to share with you!

Dirty by Kylie Scott.

Lydia Green was all set to marry and begin a future with the love of her life.

UNTIL

She received an anonymous video on her phone, exposing the groom's secret, his true love.

After viewing the video, she was quick to flee the scene. She hopped over a fence, ruined her wedding dress, snuck inside what she thought to be an empty house, through the bathroom window, and was discovered in the shower by the home owner.

Vaughan Hewson is a talented tattooed musician who has returned to his childhood home, after having a bit of bad luck of his own.

Can these two polar opposite strangers, who met under very unusual circumstances, become each others saving grace?

Or

Are they just meant to share a moment before moving on?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved the characters. The humor was laugh out loud funny. The book was fast paced and as a reviewer I pride myself on giving authors and readers a like, my honest opinion. With that being said, usually when I love a book I give it five stars! However, given the few issues I had with this book, I am going to have to give it four stars. In order to avoid spoilers, I can not go into details regarding these issues but, I can say it has nothing to do with the steamy, romance scenes. Despite the few issues, Kylie Scott is still a favorite author of mine.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Kill Me Softly By Sarah Cross

Hey everyone, I have an awesome fairy-tale retelling to share with you!

Kill Me Softly by Sarah Cross

Mirabelle has been raised by her two, overprotective, godmothers since she was an infant.

Mira knows very little about her past. Only the few facts that her godmother's have been willing to tell her.

A week shy of her 16th birthday, Mira decides to sneak out at night and travel to Beau Rivage in search of her parents grave site.

However, during her quest to find her parents, she learns that her birthplace is not what it seems and normalcy is a thing of the past.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! It is uniquely written and I loved the characters! However, the story did not hook me in right away, but once Felix was introduced, I was turning page after page. I will be reading Tear You Apart!

HAPPY READING!!!

Stuck-Up Suit By Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have an amazing, opposites attract, standalone read to share with you!

Stuck-Up Suit by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward

Soraya is blunt, speak your mind, type of person who works as an assistant for an advice columnist.

Her work day started out like any other day, as she boarded the train. Until, she overheard an irate business man on his phone. When the call ended he had reached his stop. He was so angry and in a haste to leave that he dropped his phone.

Soraya picked up the phone and put it in her purse, with the intention of returning it.

However, curiosity got the best of her and she decided to have a bit of fun first.

She quickly discovered that the rude, crude, and obnoxious suit was Graham Morgan.

When she finally decided to return it, he refused to even see her. He told her to leave the phone behind and leave.

She ultimately left but not before she gave the, Stuck-Up Suit, a piece of her mind and decided to mess with his mind.

Graham Morgan knew he was not a friendly person. After losing his mother and then witnessing acts of betrayal, he built internal walls and put all his energy and focus into his business.

Until, the bluntly, honest, woman who returned his phone uttered the one sentence that haunted his mind and left clues to her identity.

He had to find her.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It is very well written and hilariously addictive! The ending was very satisfying. More of an ending was not needed, but I wanted more. This is another book I will certainly be adding to my Favorites of 2016 list!

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Hey everyone, I am back with a unique, friends to lovers, adult romance.

Addicted to You by Krista Ritchie & Becca Ritchie

Lily, herself, is confused.

How long can they keep up the rouse?

Every addict eventually hits rock bottom, it is just a matter of time.

When that time finally comes, what will become of  the tight-knit pair?

I REALLY enjoyed this book! I loved the main characters, their loyalty to each other, the plot, and the ending. I like how the authors took two serious subject matters and were still able to add a bit of humour into the story. I will certainly be reading book 2, Addicted for Now!

Pucked By Helena Hunting (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I am back with a hockey romance to tell you about!

Pucked by Helena Hunting

Violet Hall lives and breathes hockey as she comes from a hockey family and works as a junior PR accountant for the sport.

However, she is less than pleased to be forced to attend a hockey game, to show her support for her hockey player stepbrother.

UNTIL

She makes eye contact with Alex Waters and he breaks the mold of the stereotypical hockey player.

He managed to charm the pants off her

BUT

Is Alex Waters truly what he seems to be?

OR

Is he just as smooth off the ice as he is on the ice?

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved the writing, the characters,(Violet's character's bluntness is a lot like how I am), the chemistry, and the ending! The humor had me laughing out loud, constantly. My oldest daughter is 11, she  kept asking me what is so funny and all I could tell her was "you need to read this book when you are older.". This book will be going on my Favorites of 2016 list and my All-Time Favorites list! I will be reading book 2, Pucked Up!

Did I Mention I Love You? By Estelle Maskame

Hey everyone, I have a family drama mixed with twisted step brotherly love.

Did I Mention I Love You? by Estelle Maskame

Reluctantly, sixteen year-old Eden Munro, agrees to visit her estranged father of three years for the summer in Santa Monica California, leaving her mother behind in Portland, Oregon.

In for a summer of awkwardness, she is hoping to enjoy herself from time to time.

Her father wastes no time trying to intertwine her into the family that he left Eden and her mother for. The new family consists of a stepmother and three stepbrothers.

Her stepmother and the younger stepbrothers seem nice enough, but not even a neighborhood barbecue could prepare her for the oldest stepbrother, Tyler.

He may be easy on the eyes but his bad boy attitude and questionable actions scream nothing but trouble.

Despite not knowing the true depth of what she got herself into when she agreed to visit, she is quick to make friends and is determined to make the most of her summer.

As the summer goes on, is Tyler truly a bad boy or is it just an act?

This summer could have more storms than California sunshine.

Overall, this book was enjoyable. However, the pacing was jerky. It started out slow then picked up, then slowed down. Towards the end, it finally picked up and held my interest from there to give a decent ending. While this story was not horrible it did not wow me. I did not find anything memorable about any of the characters. I have not decided if I will continue on with this trilogy or not.

HAPPY READING!!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman
