F*ck Love By Tarryn Fisher

Hey everyone, I can not believe we are almost through the first month of the year! Today, I have a unique standalone to share with you!

F*ck Love by Tarryn Fisher

Helena Conway is with a man she can see a future with.

UNTIL

One dream alters her reality.

In the dream she is a talented artist who is married with two children.

A blissfully innocent dream right?

Wrong.

Her husband in the dream was her best friend, Della's boyfriend, Kit.

Helena tries to push the dream out of her head and focus on her own boyfriend, Neil. However, when her boyfriend goes astray the dream creeps back into her mind.

As with most people who end up breaking up, Helena starts questioning herself. She begins feeling lost and needing to find herself.

Her journey of self discovery takes flight in Kit's home town.

Are dreams just dreams?

OR

Do they hold some truth?

I thought this story was unique and I found it to be a quite enjoyable, steady read. However, I really disliked that Helena kept referring to herself as the "Beige Bitch". I also did not like that she seemed to always seek validation from others. After a break up, a person may need to find themselves again but a woman should always establish self confidence before entering into another relationship. A relationship is not about finding value in another persons' eyes. It is about loving each other and uniting together as a team. How can the character expect anyone to value her if she does not know her own self value?

After We Fell By Anna Todd

Hey everyone, I am back to give you a review of the third installment in the After series by Anna Todd. These books continue one right after another without recapping. So, if you have not read the first book, After (I reviewed After on January 17, 2016 and the sequel, After We Collided on January 18, 2016) do not read any farther. However, for those who are ready to continue with the series please read on.

After We Fell by Anna Todd

At the end of book two, Tessa and Hardin run into Tessa's dad outside of a tattoo parlor. They have not seen each other in nine years. A lot can happen in nine years and as everyone knows, there are two sides to every story.

Where has he been and what is his side to the story?

Hardin is not happy about Tessa going to Seattle to further her career goals.

BUT

She is determined to go with or without him.

What does this mean for their relationship?

Is he capable of change?

OR

Is it inevitable that his anger will eat him alive, tearing them apart?

Each book in the series thus far ends with a shocking revelation and this one is no different. I enjoyed this book. However, this book was a slower read for me than the first and second book in the series. I still feel that Tessa is annoying and is not growing as a character. She has grown a spine, but there is no compromising on her end. While Hardin has his issues, I feel as the series continues on that Hardin is growing as a character. I will be continuing on with this series. I just hope that they meld together, with an equal balance by the end of this series.

After We Collided By Anna Todd

Hey everyone, I am back to give you a little insight into the sequel of After by Anna Todd, After We Collided. If you have not read After do not read any farther, to avoid spoilers. As this book immediately continues where After leaves off. (I reviewed After on January 17, 2016) If you have read After please continue on.

After We Collided by Anna Todd

At the end of book one, we are shocked to learn the foundation of Tessa and Hardin's "relationship" was built off a virginity bet. Tessa is left humiliated, her heart is shattered and she is not sure which end is up.

She is confused and caught in a whirlwind trying to put the pieces of her life together. She turns to the one guy who has always been kind to her, Zed. However, is Zed the sweet guy that he seems?

OR

Does sweet, caring, reliable Zed have motives of his own?

AND

As she took off once, the truth was revealed. Hardin ran after Tessa and ended up on his knees after she took off. So, was any part of their relationship real? If so, What part(s)?

Will Hardin finally break down his walls to keep her?

OR

Revert back to his old ways?

They say love is unconditional.

BUT

When does the domino effect end?

I REALLY enjoyed this book a lot more than the first. We learned more about what makes Hardin tick. While I was still annoyed with Tessa being extremely naive, I liked how she had a little bit more of a spine with her mother and even Hardin. With that being said, I am still rooting for her and Hardin. Deep down he does truly care for her. I am hoping they both show more growth as characters at the story continues in, After We Fell.

After By Anna Todd

Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well! I am back with an intriguing read!

After by Anna Todd

All her life Tessa has lived by her mother's standards and has the perfect boyfriend, at least on paper.

However, as soon as she arrives at college she gets a bit of a culture shock. The people dress and act differently.

She is introduced to her new roommate Steph and her two friends Nate and Hardin.

Of the three, Hardin is the least friendly and down right rude, but she is determined to make friends not enemies. Steph invites her to a frat party and against her better judgment she agrees to go.

At the party she is quick to realize she does not fit in with her new acquaintances or anyone else at the party. She walks on people having sex and sees her new roommate dancing on the table.

Trying to escape the chaos she goes into a room filled with books that she herself loves to read.

Imagine her shock when she learns that the room belongs to Hardin.

Hardin Scott is a broody, sexy, tattooed guy with a British accent.

Too bad his personality is not as welcoming as his body. He has so many mood swings it is like playing a game of Hot & Cold.

No matter how hard she tries to stay clear of the angsty man, he seems to be popping up everywhere she is.

One night, despite their internal struggles within themselves, opposites attract and they end up igniting the undeniable chemistry between them.

Where does that leave Tessa and her reliable boyfriend?

Hardin makes her feel alive in ways no one else has

BUT

Hardin has inner walls built up and secrets within those walls.

If Tessa breaks down the walls can she handle what she discovers?

I will admit this book took me a while to get into. I found Tessa to be overly naive and it became a bit annoying. However, the story kept me intrigued enough to keep reading. I am certainly glad I continued reading! The ending was certainly a shocker! I immediately had to pick up the next book, After We Collided and keep reading!

Hearts in Darkness By Laura Kaye

Hey everyone, I have a short and steamy read to share with you!

Hearts in Darkness by Laura Kaye

After a long and difficult day, Makenna James makes a mad dash to get on the elevator. She was in a rush to get home to wind down on her comfy couch with a glass of wine. Thankfully, due to a good samaritan who held the elevator for her, she does not have to wait for the elevator to come back up.

However, as her luck has proven for the day, it is not on her side.

The two strangers barely catch a glimpse of each other before the elevator comes to a halt mid descent as it becomes pitch black in the small metal box.

Too bad Caden Grayson is claustrophobic.

Minutes turn into hours and the only one to calm him down is the fiery red head.

As the two are waiting to be rescued, they began to learn about each other.

They say love is blind.

BUT

Will their connection be broken when the power is restored and they are outside the box?

Even though this book was short and predictable, I enjoyed the characters, their stories, and their chemistry! I look forward to reading book two, Love in the Light!

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

The Score By Elle Kennedy

Hey everyone I am back to share the third installment of the Off-campus series with you! There is no need to read these books in order as each one is about a different couple, but I highly recommend in doing so. (I reviewed the first one, The Deal on January 09, 2016 and The sequel The Mistake on January 12, 2016)

The Score by Elle Kennedy

Allie Hayes is determined to finally end things once and for all with her on/off again boyfriend, Sean, of four years.

To avoid giving into his persuasive ways she decides to stay over at her best friend, Hannah's boyfriends', place for the weekend.

The only problem is that Hannah & Garrett are having a couples weekend getaway with Grace and Logan. Their other teammate, Tucker, has plans of his own. Which leaves Allie alone with the player of all players, Dean Di-Laurentis.

Dean is a rich, man slut, who is used to getting what his heart desires and who is not shy about his sexcapades. He is very upfront with his conquests before the fun times begin. His friends tried to give him a heads up about the last minute house guest. However, since he was already entertaining for the evening, he did not expect anyone. Until there was a knock at the door.

Reluctantly, after sending the girls of the evening on their way, he was left to entertain Allie cat.

Despite his friends warnings, via text messaging, the two hook up after downing Tequila.

While Dean is all about the casual hook up, Allie is a relationship only type of girl. So, while other girls would be proud to hook up with the hockey hunk, she feels ashamed.

She wants to keep their hook-up a secret and he wants another go around.

Is Allie the one girl who refuses to give into the mutual attraction?

OR

Can Allie Cat finally tame the feral sex beast, who is Dean Di-Laurentis?

I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK! This book was very fast paced, hilarious, heartwarming, full of fun times and a few twists of surprises! While I loved all three books in the series, my favorites are, The Deal and The Score, for their humor and the individual back story of each character. I can not wait to continue on with this series, when The Goal is released! (said to be released September 2016.)

The Mistake By Elle Kennedy

Hey everyone, I am back again with a sequel. 'The Mistake' is the second book in the 'Off-Campus' series. The first one is 'The Deal' (reviewed January 09, 2016) These books do not have to be read in order, as they are about different couples. However, the main characters in 'The Deal' are mentioned in 'The Mistake'.

The Mistake by Elle Kennedy

John Logan, who goes by Logan, is a junior in college and a hockey star. He is a player on and off the ice. However, when his best friend, Garrett, found his match, Hannah, he began carrying a torch for her.

Logan is happy for them and he would never come between them but, that does not ease the awkwardness that he feels when they are all hanging out.

So, his way of dealing with the situation is to hook up with women every chance he gets.

One night, while looking for the next party location, he gets the dorm number wrong and his mistake leads to meeting Grace.

Grace Ivers is a college freshman. She is down to earth, loves action films and rambles when she is nervous.

It seems as though his mistake ended up being his saving grace.

UNTIL

One mistake is too big to just kiss and make up.

Did his mistake cost him the one woman who became his game changer?

OR

Can he get back in her good graces?

I LOVED this book! It was fun, funny and very fast paced. I love Ms. Kennedy's writing style! Her characters' personalities make them seem realistic! This series is the best hockey romance series that I have ever read! I will be continuing with the next book in this FANTASTIC series, 'The Score'!

The Deal By Elle Kennedy

Hey everyone, I have a sports romance to share with you!

The Deal by Elle Kennedy

Hannah Wells is an intelligent hardworking college student. She received an A on an assignment that almost everyone in the class failed. While she is successful in many things, relationships are not her forte.

Garrett Graham is the big shot hockey player on campus but, if he can't bring scores in the classroom, his GPA will tank, and so will his shot at his dream.

He notices Hannah's grade and asks her to tutor him. To his shock, she refuses.

BUT

He does not give up easily.

He relentlessly keeps asking for her help.

UNTIL

He finds out that her Achilles heel is a guy she has interest in but, her crush does not have interest in her.

Garrett makes a deal Hannah can not refuse.

The Deal may end up being more than either one of them bargained for.

I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I loved the writing, the banter between the characters and the heart to heart moments. This book was extremely fast paced and had me rooting for the bad boy. I will be reading the sequel, The Mistake!

HAPPY READING!!!

The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe By Mary Simses

Hey everyone, I hope the new year is treating you well! Today, I have a cozy, sweet read to share.

The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe by Mary Simses

Ellen Branford is a successful, New York lawyer who is on her way to Beacon, Maine to deliver a message from her recently deceased, beloved grandmother to a long lost love, as per her final request.

What should have been a simple request turned into one complication after another.

While standing on a dock to take a photo of a statue, a board gives way and she falls into the water and gets swept away by a current. Luckily for her, a local comes to her rescue.

Ellen is so grateful to her rescuer that she gets caught up in the moment and rewards him with a kiss.

Too bad she is engaged.

As if things were not bad enough the small town paper, prints the story, along with a photo of the kiss.

After the incident, she is more determined than ever to deliver the letter and go home.

BUT

She does not seem to have any luck in being able to meet her grandmother's long lost love.

AND

There may be more to her sweet grandmother than Ellen or her family ever knew.

I enjoyed this sweet and cozy read. I liked the writing style and it certainly had that down home feel. As well as hilarious laugh out loud moments.

Echo Among Stars By JoAnna S. Morris

Hey everyone, I have my first review of the year to share with you guys!

Echo Among Stars by JoAnna S. Morris

Eden Huntleigh is a sixteen year old girl who lives in a time where freedom is a thing of the past. Every aspect of her life is controlled and her future is determined for her.

One day after school, while waiting to meet up with her best friend to walk to their close but separate housing units, she is startled by an Enforcer who escorts her home before her friend is able to meet her.

Soon after arriving home her brother, Jude, comes home and hands her an envelope.
Inside the envelope are instructions telling her to be at a location, the time to arrive and to come alone.

However, her protective older brother and her best friend insist on coming with her and soon their lives are turned upside down and changed forever.

Although, I found this book to be predictable I REALLY enjoyed it. The book was short but very fast paced. I loved how the author gave plenty of detail, but did not give so much detail to the point it would have weighed the story down. I love the loyalty that most of the characters share and the friends becoming family aspect of it. I myself have friends I consider family. I look forward to reading the next book!
