Bossman By Vi Keeland (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, we are down to the last story of the evening!

Bossman by Vi Keeland

Reese was in the middle of a date that was going nowhere. She was hiding out in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant and trying to reach her friend, to pull the" I have an emergency move."

As luck would have it, she crosses paths with Chase Parker.

Chase may be easy on the eyes, but he has no problem calling her out.

After the two part ways, they return to their dates. Yet, their eyes remain on each other. So, Chase decides  to make the night a bit more entertaining.

Despite, their awkward evening Reese cannot get Chase out her head.

Once she discovers that is more to him than she thought possible, the problem will not be her head, but her heart.

I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BOOK!!! This book has it all! The story was the perfect blend of humor and heart! The book was extremely well written and fast paced! I would have loved to have known Chase's reaction when Reese was able to share her news though.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Sins of Sevin By Penelope Ward (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, on to the second book of the evening!

Sins of Sevin by Penelope Ward

Sevin is a wild and free spirit who became a rebel soon after his father married a very strict, by the book, no room for compromise, religious woman.

Right after a very sinful act, he was given a harsh reality check when he discovered his father had died.

Now, that his dad had passed he was determined to leave his stepmother and young half siblings behind.

While respects were being given to the family, Sevin met a friend of his father's who proposed an arrangement for him.

The arrangement was financial security tied with an arranged marriage.

BUT

Fate has a way of a creating its own twists.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! It made me  awe, laugh, cry, and get angry. While I REALLY did enjoy this book there is one thing that really made me so ANGRY! I do not want to spoil anything. However, I will say that towards the end Sevin was way to forgiving when the love of his life, ran off, told lies, and made a life altering decision that can never be taken back.. It is made for us to believe that it was done for a selfless reason towards a family member. BUT I felt that it was the opposite. A part of Sevin was taken along with his voice in the matter. what she did was WRONG and UNFORGIVABLE.

Fallen Crest High By Tijan

Hey everyone! I am glad to be back with 3 books to tell you about this evening! I loved Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan! So, I thought I would try something else by Tijan.

Fallen Crest High by Tijan

Samantha is shocked to learn that her mother is divorcing her father for another man. As if the news was not shocking enough, she is forced to pack her things and tag along to their new home, the Kade Mansion.

Mason and Logan Kade are the Golden Boys of their football centered town. Add well of parents to the mix and you have a powerful duo.

While they may be well off, the brothers attend public school, making the academy their rival school.

Samantha is hurt, angry, and wants answers.

Secrets are revealed and relationships are tested.

I enjoyed this book enough to continue on with this series. I realize that this book was about laying the ground work for the rest of this series. The brothers were the perfect combination. I found Samantha to be nerve racking at times. I must say, the one scene towards the end where everything is laid out in the open is what made this book for me. It was freaking HILARIOUS!

HAPPY READING!!!

Anti-Stepbrother By Tijan (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well. The book I will be telling you about was a fast paced read for me!

Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan

Summer had a long time crush on the hot guy in high school, Kevin. Then, when Summer's father married Kevin's mother, things became a twisted tornado of emotions. As if the two families becoming one were not enough, Kevin and Summer became tangled in the sheets after Summer's high school graduation.

Too bad for Summer, that Kevin goes through girlfriends like toilet tissue, using them and sending them on their way.

Now, Summer is attending college at the same university as Kevin.

When she stops by her stepbrother's fraternity, her heart strings are tugged. No surprise, he is getting it on with his latest girlfriend, too bad she is already taken.

Despite her heartbreak, She covers for her stepbrother.

Caden Banks is the IT man on campus, Kevin fraternity brother and his real brother Marcus is the boyfriend of the girl getting it on with Kevin.

Summer and Caden's first encounter was a memorable but not a particularly friendly one. He came off as an arrogant asshole. Therefore, Summer began  referring to him as, The Asshole, Caden!

Is he really an asshole or is it just an image?

What does Caden see in Summer, that Summer and others are blind to?

I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved Caden! What blew me away the most about him was his family loyalty! Kevin was awful! However, he started to become redeemable towards the end.
Summer was likeable, but was annoying at times! This book was a fast paced and quick read for me. The ending was satisfying, BUT I REALLY WISH, that there had been an epilogue!

HAPPY READING!!!!

Today's Promises By S.R. Grey

Hey everyone, the last book I have to tell you about is a sequel. (The first book,Tomorrow's Lies, was reviewed on July 28, 2016.) This sequel does give slight glimpses to refresh your memory. However, this book is NOT a standalone and picks up where Tomorrow's Lies leaves off. If you have not read Tomorrow's Lies, please do not read any further, to avoid spoilers.

Today's Promises by S.R. Grey

You would think after being reunited and out of the Lowry's evil clutches, that Flynn and Jaynie could move forward with their lives.

BUT

Unfortunately, the facility Allison is at, is over crowded.

AND

Allison may be released.

The couple is afraid that if Allison is released, she will come back with a vengeance.

The feeling of  desperation can cause people to make rash decisions.

Will Flynn and Jaynie get the happily ever after they deserve?

OR

Will fate remain cruel?

I REALLY enjoyed revisiting all the characters, I felt that the author stepped up her game with this conclusion, and while I did not want to see the main characters go through anymore pain, I REALLY enjoyed the mystery aspect of this book.

(said to be released September 08, 2016)

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Stepbrother Dearest By Penelope Ward (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, the second book I will be telling you about is a stepbrother romance with a twist!

Stepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward

Elec, found himself moving in with his father, his stepmother and stepsister for his Senior year of high school. Despite, his difficult relationship with his father.

From the moment Elec stepped foot in the door, his stepsister Greta's body had betrayed her. Elec was a sizzling hot, tattooed bad boy. Too bad his attitude ruined any hope of everyone getting along.

When Greta takes his cigarettes Elec decides to teach her a lesson of his own.

The two drive each other crazy.

YET

Greta shows him acts of kindness from time to time.

UNTIL

Greta reaches her limit and Elec starts to show remorse.

Will Elec drop his bad attitude and let his guard down?

OR

Is Elec just playing games with Greta?

I REALLY LOVED THIS BOOK!! I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! I loved Greta and Elec, the story line, and the ending! There is a MAJOR twist near the end that I did NOT see coming! I had a  MASSIVE book hangover after reading this book! I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

Out of Bounds By R.S. Grey (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I am back with another three books to tell you about! The first one is a sports romance!

Out of Bounds by R.S. Grey

Brie is one of one of the five gymnasts selected to represent Team U.S.A. at the Olympics in Rio.

BUT

As luck would have it. Her coach is unable to continue coaching the girls and his son, Erik Winter, takes over the reins. Brie and the other girls come together to train in Seattle, where Eric lives and owns his own gymnastics facility.

Brie is both nervous and excited to meet her new coach.

UNTIL

They come face to face with each other.

Erik gets caught off guard, causing him to act like an jerk.

AND

A love/hate relationship develops.

I REALLY ENJOYED this book! I LOVED all the characters. Except, June. The book was steamy with the right amount of humor. My only complaint, I wish there was more gymnastics. I felt cheated out of the gymnastics experience when it came to them competing in Rio. With that said, R.S Grey is still one of my favorite and must authors. Even though, I found this book to be a bit lacking, I will continue to read anything R.S. Grey writes.

HAPPY READING!!!

Hey everyone, this will be my last review of the evening! The book I have to tell you about is an epic conclusion to an awesome series! The first book in the series is The Shadow Prince. (reviewed on July 10, 2014.) This series does not recap from book to book. So, to avoid spoilers, if you have not read this series yet please do not read any further.

He sets out to find another way.

BUT

As he sets out to find answers, he also learns more about his family and himself.

Will the balance of power be restored?

OR

Will destruction be the fate of the world?

I LOVED this book! I LOVED this series! However, this final book was my favorite of the series! It was action packed from start to finish, there were a couple of  twists that I did not see coming, everything was explained, and wrapped up nicely! It was everything I could want in a final installment!

HAPPY READING!!!

Swear on This Life By Renee Carlino

Hey everyone, I am back to share with you the second book of the evening.

Swear on This Life by Renee Carlino

As a fellow book lover, you have probably read a book and then passed it on to a friend to read. Sometimes, the friend may be reluctant but give in at some point.

Emiline's roommate begins to gush about a book she just finished by J. Colby. Her roommate is not the only one raving about this book. The book world has also seemed to embrace the mysterious new author.

Emiline is reluctant to pick up the novel but when once she does she is totally hooked.

BUT

She is hooked for a total different reason.

As she connects to the book's main character's Emerson and Jackson, she starts to see the startling similarities between the book and her own childhood.

A childhood she never wanted to bring attention to.

Now, that a version of her  past is out in the world, how will she handle it?

I LOVED this book! I loved the plot, the characters and how it was written. It is a book within a book! I am so glad I won an ARC copy of this book via a Goodreads giveaway!

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

It Ends with Us By Colleen Hoover (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I hope you all are well. I apologize for not posting more often, but the summer time is always a hectic time of the year for my family and I. However, I still manage to get some reading in for time to time. I am back with three amazing reads to tell you about. The first one is a powerful and emotional read.

It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

If this were a perfect world two people would meet, fall madly in love who want to share that love by having children of their own. Sounds simple enough right? Well for some it is not so simple.

Lily's father was a man who was embraced by his community but behind closed doors was feared by his family. He was abusive towards her mother. Growing up, Lily vowed when she became an adult to never allow a man to abuse her and if they ever did, all it would take is one time and she would leave.

Now, all grown up Lily is living in Boston, has a brand new business and her father is recently deceased.

While out getting some fresh air she unexpected meets Ryle Kincaid.

Ryle, is an attractive and brilliant neurosurgeon, who brazenly admits he is attracted to Lily.

BUT

He is not the relationship type. Lily cannot help but wonder why that is.

After a lengthy and brutal conversation Ryle gets a phone call and he leaves.

They never expected to cross paths again. Despite not being able to stop thinking about each other.

As luck would have it, their paths did cross again.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It certainly has the emotional roller coaster Colleen Hoover fans have come to expect from her. However, this book is a raw eye opener and unlike any book she has ever written. A lot of people are used to a villain and a good guy. This book is not laid out as simple. I LOVED the characters, I felt for the characters in different ways, and Colleen Hoover is opening people's eyes one reader at a time. She is and continues to be a MUST read author for me!

Bad Romance By Jen McLaughlin (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have an awesome stepbrother romance to tell you about this morning!

Bad Romance by Jen McLaughlin

Jackson Worthington has his life all mapped out by his controlling father but it is not the life he wants to leave. His own mother will not even stand up for her son's wishes.

BUT

No matter how much they force him to bend to his stepfather's demands. He takes his life and future into his own hands,

He enlists in the Army.

He will not miss anyone in his family. Except, his stepsister Lilly, as she has been the only one of them that has ever showed kindness towards him.

In a moment of weakness, Jackson is caught in a not so brotherly act with his stepsister.

Seven years later, a combat injury leaves him with a position as a Recruiting Officer and a trip back home.

Lilly is all grown up, but is she still the good girl he remembers?

OR

Has daddy pushed too far?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved everything from the main characters to the story-line and everything in-between! I read this book in one sitting while my son was taking a nap!

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Tomorrow's Lies By S.R. Grey (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, July and August are always busy times of the year for me. However, I am back with another emotional read.

Tomorrow's Lies by S.R. Grey

Jaynie Cumberland was abandoned by her mother and was thrust into the foster care system. Her journey has been a difficult one. Her last home was decent until the foster mother's son was released from prison and Jaynie became his target.

Being his target took away a piece of her, leaving her with PTSD and trust issues.

Now, the system has a new place for her. The situation is better than the last but that is not saying much, at least her and the other children their have become a family of sorts.

However, Flynn O'Neil is not like a big brother to her, as he is to everyone else. He brings Jaynie out of her shell and she begins to feel alive again.

BUT

What will become of these children?

Will they make it til their 18th birthday's?

I have mixed emotions about this book. The book was a steady read that had me on my toes. However, as a mother my heart was breaking for these children. I wanted to protect these children from these heartless monsters. I was rooting for these kids til the very end and found the ending to be satisfying. I cannot wait for book two to see what happens next.

Lola and the Boy Next Door By Stephanie Perkins

Hey everyone, I am back with the last review of the evening. The following book is a sequel in the Anna and the French Kiss companion series. It can be read as a standalone. However, Anna and Étienne make appearances through out this book.

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

Lola Nolan is an eccentric teen who dreams of turning her talent for costume design into a career.

She is a happy teen with an older rock out boyfriend named Max.

UNTIL

Twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood.

Leaving Lola with a flood of mixed emotions and confusion towards the boy next door.

Is Max still the one?

OR

Has Cricket always had her heart all along?

I enjoyed this read. This book was a fun read. The conversations between Lola and Cricket were the best parts. I love that Anna and Étienne make reappearances in this book. Personally, I prefer Anna and the French Kiss over this book. With that said, I will continue on with, Isla and the Happily Ever After.

HAPPY READING!!!

Wicked Woman

Claimed By Elle Kennedy (Adults Only)

Hey everyone! Now, on to the third review of the evening, a scorching hot, post apocalyptic read!

 Claimed by Elle Kennedy

The world as we know it does not exist.

The Global Council has their own rules.

Freedom as we know it no longer exists.

The ones who cling to the old ways of freedom are known as Outlaws. As Patrick Henry once said in his speech,"Give me liberty or give me death"

The ways of the Outlaw are dangerous. Money is no longer good. Trade/Raiding is the only way to survive.

Conner and his men decide to unwind at a bar. Until, a band of hardcore bandits intrude and they step-in to save the day.

As Conner and his men get ready to leave the bar, a damsel in distress asks for protection.

Hudson is not like any outlaw he has ever met.

He is wary of her and denies her request.

However, his men riddle him with guilt and despite his own judgement he goes back for her.

Who is this woman?

Where did she come from?

Can she be trusted?

And most importantly, is she a liability?

I am not one for dystopian reads these days, but I made an exception for Elle Kennedy! I REALLY enjoyed this toe curling adventure. In many ways if this were to occur in real life, this would be how most would have to survive, by banning together. I look forward to continuing on with this series! Elle Kennedy is a MUST READ author for me!

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

*Graphic Novel: Giant Days Vol. 2 By John Allison

Hey everyone, I am back with the second review of the evening, a graphic novel!

Giant Days Vol. 2 by John Allison

Susan, Esther, and Daisy are back in this second installment.

Their hilarious shenanigans never fail to get them into off the wall situations, that will have you shaking your head in disbelief and laughing out loud!

The art style is great but I felt something was lacking, unlike in Vol 1.

I am REALLY enjoying this series, thus far! While I enjoyed Vol 1, I was laughing more through out Vol 2! I cannot wait to continue with the series!

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Filthy English By Ilsa Madden-Mills (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I am sorry that I am checking in/posting so late in the month. This month has been hectic and a bit unkind to me. I hope July is going well for all of you. The first of four reads I will be telling you about today is the sequel to Dirty English. (It can be read as a standalone. However, the main characters do make an on and off appearance through out the book.)

Filthy English by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Remi Montague’s fiancé calls things off two weeks before they are supposed to say I Do.

Remi and her best gal pal decide to go to the pre-planned honeymoon destination, London.

Why shouldn't she have some fun after enduring heartbreak?

One night, while at a masquerade party, Remi falls into the lap of a British bad boy from her past,
Dax Blay.

They say the past is the past and not to look back.

BUT

If your past comes back around, Does that mean it is meant to be your future?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved the plot, the main characters, and that Elizabeth and Declan make a reappearance in this book. This book was a touching, fun, good time. Despite, a heartbreaking truth that is brought to light. I highly recommend this read!

Adorkable By Cookie O'Gorman

Hey everyone, it is the end of the month! Surprisingly, I was able to get in one last read! I decided to end the month with a fun and fluffy type read!

Adorkable by Cookie O'Gorman

Sally Spitz is only seventeen and has her whole life ahead of her.

BUT

That does not stop her mother from teaming up with Sally's best gal pal to find Sally's perfect match.
What no one knows, is that Sally has known her match since childhood. Her childhood friend, Becks.

Becks, is the athletic, hot and popular guy, that the girls throw themselves at.

Meanwhile, after being setup by the matchmakers constantly and going on one disastrous date after another, Sally has had enough.

She hatches a plan to get a fake boyfriend and enlists Becks help for a month.

However, as time goes on he plays his part so well that her heart and head are conflicted.

Is it all just for show?

OR

Did things get real?

I liked this book, it was a fun, light and fluffy read. The ending was satisfactory. However, this book did not wow me. It did not bring much to the table to set it apart from other books in its genre.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Three Hard Lessons By Nikki Sloane (Adults Only)

I am back at it, to talk about the sequel to Three Simple Rules! If you have not read Three Simple Rules do not read the review below. This book answers the cliffhanger that was left in the first book.  Also, while this sequel's main focus is on another couple, Evelyn and Logan do make a reappearance a few times throughout the story.

Three Hard Lessons by Nikki Sloane

Payton is the main attraction at the Blindfold Club. She is used to men paying top dollar to be with her.

BUT

When Dom walks in and agrees to pay $30,000 without hesitation, Payton is shocked.

What does he want in return?

To take things slow, hand holding and kissing.

One man in a single encounter has her breaking her own rules and sending her life in a tailspin.

Payton warns Dom that she is hard to handle.

Is Dom up for the challenge?

Who is handling who?

I enjoyed this read, but not as much as the first. While I enjoyed Payton's wild and free spirit, I found her character annoying at times. With that said, I LOVED the ending and will continue on with the series.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Three Simple Rules By Nikki Sloane (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I am back with a steamy read to tell you about!

It is nerve racking enough to step out of your comfort zone. However, when the blindfold comes off rules are given, sparks fly and complications arise.

I REALLY enjoyed this book from the main characters to the ending and everything in between. If you are an adult who enjoys a highly steamy read with an awe factor read this book! While this book did end well, it does end with kind of a cliffhanger that will make you want to pick up the next book, Three Hard Lessons, immediately!

Leaving Amarillo By Caisey Quinn (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have a friends to lovers type read to share with you today.

Leaving Amarillo by Caisey Quinn

Dixie and Dallas Lark lost their parents at a young age and were raised by their grandparents.

On the day of the wake they became fast friends with Gavin.

Gavin lives with his mother, but he has had a difficult childhood as well.

Dallas is overprotective of his sister and has made it clear from the beginning, Gavin is not to touch Dixie if he wants to remain friends with Dallas.

The trio form a band called Leaving Amarillo, Dixie (fiddle), Dallas (guitar),and Gavin (drums).

Ten years later, a chance to live their dream is within their grasp. However, Dixie is all grown up and cannot get Gavin off her mind. There is an undeniable attraction between the two, but he is determined to honor his promise to her brother. Despite, Dixie playing Confessional with Gavin.

Will the band remain intact and be able to live their dream?

OR

Will they fall apart and set out on individual dreams?

I REALLY enjoyed this book! I loved the story line! I enjoyed the banter between Dixie and Gavin. On the flip side, Dallas's over protective big brother attitude was annoying at times. I can understand him being overprotective when his sister was younger. Once she became older he should have trusted her to make her own decisions and loosened the reins. His character was a bit suffocating. While the ending was satisfying it does end on a bit of a cliffhanger. I will be continuing on with this series at some point.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

The Year We Fell Down By Sarina Bowen (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, the second book I have to tell you about this evening, is about finding yourself again after an injury.

The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen

Corey Callahan expected to attend Harkness College as a hockey player. However, a serious spinal injury landed her in a wheelchair instead.

Despite her parents nervousness, Corey continued on with her college plans.

She has an awesome roommate and her fellow injured, but hot neighbor is certainly a bonus.

Too bad he is taken.

BUT

They can be friends, right?

I REALLY enjoyed this book! It was a sweet and at times a humorous read. I loved all the characters. However, being a disabled person myself. (although, not by a spinal injury) I did find Corey to be a bit annoying. I will continue on with the series at some point.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always.

Breathe By Abbi Glines

Hey everyone, I have four books to tell you about today! This first one is a perfect summer time read!

Breathe by Abbi Glines

In Sadie White's house the roles are reversed.

For most teens being on summer break means going to the beach and attending parties. However, Sadie's pregnant mother refuses to work and Sadie has to take her mother's position, as a house servant.

She quickly discovers that the owner of the house is Jax Stone, teen rock-star.

Despite the house staff's reluctance to allow Sadie to step in to fill her mother's shoes, they give her a chance.

She is determined to remain professional and impress the staff.

BUT

Despite her best efforts, the staff are not the only ones who have their eyes on her.

Jax Stone is use to having girls throw themselves at him.

BUT

If Sadie gives in to him, she has a lot more to loose than just her heart.

I REALLY enjoyed this read! It was a lot of fun, despite my annoyance with Sadie's mom. The author tried to explain the mother's behavior at the end of the book, BUT what about Sadie's mother's actions and attitude before she became pregnant? I am sorry there is no excuse for it. With that said, I still look forward to continuing on with the series.

Chase Matthews, her ex best friend who was also Mr. Popular, would be sleeping in the room across the hall.

Will she survive until graduation?

You can run

BUT

Your past is always apart of you.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I really enjoyed Lilah and Chase's characters. The story was well written and fast paced. While I did LOVE this book, I feel that it is only fair to warn you, due to the dark subject matter in this book there were a few scenes that were difficult to read. However, I found they were necessary to understand the mindset of a certain character.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! It is the first Abbi Glines book that I have ever read and I was not disappointed! It was fast paced, I loved the main characters, and the story had the right amount of humor. I will be reading more from this author in the future.

Amy & Roger's Epic Detour By Morgan Matson

Hey everyone, I have a summer road trip read to share with you!

Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

After the death of Amy Curry's father, Amy's  mother decided to move from their California home to Connecticut.

Now, that Amy has finished out her school year her mother has planned a way to get both Amy and the car to Connecticut. Travel Buddy included.

However, the two decide to take a detour and the fun begins!

I enjoyed this summer adventure read. I loved how the author included play lists and scrap-booking in the book. I felt like I was traveling along with the main characters. My only complaint is I would have liked an epilogue.

HAPPY READING!!!

She is determined to get to know the Real Max and find out why her dreams are interfering with her reality.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The story is uniquely imaginative, the writing is beautiful, and I loved all of the characters! My only complaint is that I wanted more to the ending.

The Ending I Want By Samantha Towle (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have a book that is a flurry of emotions to share with you today.

The Ending I Want by Samantha Towle

Taylor Shaw had a brain tumor at sixteen and made a list of things she wanted to do if she lived.

Fortunately she recovered.

Unfortunately, she lost her whole family in a tragic accident.

Since that day, she has let grief consume her and has not truly been experiencing life.

Now at the age of twenty-two,  the tumor has returned and she has decided not to seek treatment and to join her family when the time comes.

BUT

Until then, she is on a mission to complete a revised and more adult list, of the one she made as a teenager.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! Despite the serious nature of this read, there was a balance of humor and sadness through out the story. However, I was annoyed that Taylor kept repeating that she was going to die through out the entire book. I feel that it is only necessary to convey this to the reader during three moments in the book, at most.

HAPPY READING!!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Claimed By Stacey Kennedy (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, this next book is another BDSM read with its own set of rules.

Claimed by Stacey Kennedy

Presley Flynn has shown an interest in the BDSM lifestyle. After speaking with her roommate. Her roommate decides to let her in on the exclusive side of her world, Club Sin.

Presley nervously agrees to meet with the owner, Dmitri Pratt. After speaking with her and giving her a few tests he decides that despite her being new to the lifestyle that she would make a fine submissive.

He is the Dom, but when it comes to the heart who is in control?

I enjoyed the story behind the BDSM lifestyle. The emotions and struggles were felt and while I feel one scene was over the top, it was needed for plot and character development.

Tone Deaf By Olivia Rivers

This next read is as heartbreaking as it is touching.

Tone Deaf by Olivia Rivers

Ali Collins is a talented musical prodigy.

Her world is silently shattered when her hearing is taken from her along with her mother.

As if her losses were not bad enough, she is sent to live with her father who is a retired police officer.

You would think having a highly respected father in law enforcement would be the safest hands to fall into, but when the person who is sworn to protect can manipulate the law and minds of the public it can be Hell.

One evening while Ali and her best friend are at a rock concert Ali wins a backstage tour. Once she makes her way backstage Ali is not met with a warm greeting. In fact, The lead singer does the exact opposite.

Jace Beckett is known for his bad boy ways, but the way he treated Ali was over the top.

After everything went down he contacted Ali to try to set things right. Reluctantly, she agreed and after spending a few hours together Jace discovered they shared dark experiences. Despite getting off on the wrong foot he was determined to help her towards a bright future.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! Jace is the type of character you start out hating but grow to love. While this story is heartbreaking the main characters are a lot of fun. This read was a very quick read for me that I thoroughly enjoyed!

*Graphic Novel: Giant Days Vol 1 By John Allison

Hey everyone, while I was reading, I thought I would change things up a bit and decided to pick up a graphic novel.

Giant Days Vol 1 by John Allison

Three totally different girls are thrown together as roommates while attending university. Susan, Esther, and Daisy quickly become fast friends as they navigate each other through this new chapter in their lives.

I loved the artwork, the story-line and the friendship bond between the trio. I was laughing out loud throughout the whole read! It was a crazy fun time from beginning to end! I cannot wait to read the next installment.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

The Dom Games By Rachel Robinson (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I know I have been MIA for awhile, but I have several reads to share with you! The first one being a steamy yet entertaining read!

The Dom Games by Rachel Robinson

Kayla is shocked to learn she was accepted to be one of the submissive's appearing on, The Dom Games.

The Dom Games is a reality television show where 10 submissive's compete for domination and prize money.

However, this season there is a twist, this time the owner of The Dom Games, Dominic Reed, is looking for his forever submissive.

Kayla submitted the contestant application along with an introduction video with her eye on one thing, the money. Desperate times call for desperate measures. She was accepted to Harvard, but with higher education comes a high price tag.

Too bad Kayla has no experience in the lifestyle of BDSM.

So how and why was she chosen?

She is bound and determined to not look a gift horse in the mouth and see it through.

All the research in the world could not prepare her for the world she had signed herself up for.

Dominic certainly has his hands full!

I LOVED this book! In regards to this type of subject matter, it is very hard to find a book of this type with its own unique spin. However, this book has it's own twist and you get more of an actual story, instead of scene after scene with no real character development that you might find in other books of this type.

(said to be released May 23, 2016)

HAPPY READING!!!

BUT

All Lined Up By Cora Carmack

Hey everyone, I am back with a sports romance to tell you about!

All Lined Up by Cora Carmack

Dallas Cole did not have a breezy time in high school. Her dad was the football coach and her football playing, ex- boyfriend, broke her heart.

The college choices that her dad would agree to were limited, but she was determined to make a career out of dancing. She was glad to be starting fresh and out of her father's shadow.

However, Dallas and her father would both be going to college together. He accepted the coaching position at Rusk University.

Dallas' best friend, Stella, was determined to make sure that Dallas enjoyed college life.

While at a party, Dallas over hears a disturbing conversation about herself. It was between her ex and the hot guy who was hitting on her moments before excusing herself to the bathroom.

In her haste to be alone she runs to a room, goes to the balcony, and screams.

Her screams do not go unnoticed by Carson McClain. While the two are talking, she hears that the hot guy, she was with earlier, is looking for her. She decides to climb down the balcony, where she lands not so gracefully in Carson's lap.

Carson McClain is the new football transfer who is determined to go from second-string quarterback to the starting line-up.

He is only at the party for the sake of team comradery.

BUT

When Dallas landed in his lap things were looking up.

However, he failed to mention that he is a football player.

AND

He has no idea that she is the coach's daughter.

This is book one in a trilogy. It was a steady paced and fun read! I will be continuing on with the second book, All Broke Down, at some point.

Too Late By Colleen Hoover (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, the book I will be telling you about today has very adult themes and that may be sensitive triggers for some people.

Too Late by Colleen Hoover

Sloan comes from an unstable home life.

She comes across Asa Jackson who has a dark past of his own. From the beginning he charms her and the two date while attending college.

Years later, Asa Jackson is not the man she fell for.

She tried to leave once but she has nowhere to turn to.

BUT

When it comes to making choices, she also has her brother to consider.

Her brother has health issues that require him to be in an in-care facility.

When Sloan found out her brother lost his government care funding, Asa swept in to save the day.

Now, she is forced to move back in with Asa. Things are worse than before. People are in and out of the house, like a revolving door in a hotel. There are parties happening every night and Asa is the go to drug dealer.

Despite all the craziness going on in her life she still manages to go to class, where she meets Carter.

When she returns home and is in the middle of cleaning, she sees Carter walk in the house with Asa. She is informed that Carter is the new guy of the group.

Carter does not seem anything like Asa. He is funny, caring, and sweet.

Is it all an act?

Why is he involved in Asa's drug ring?

This book deals with tragic pasts, as well as an abusive and controlling relationship. The story itself  is very gripping! I could not put this book down. My heart ached for Sloan and her bother and I loved Carter's character.

The Glittering Court By Richelle Mead

Hey everyone, I am back to tell you about a book that released earlier this month!

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

Elizabeth Ruthford is a an Osfridian countess who takes on the identity of a former lady's maid, Adelaide Bailey, to escape an arranged marriage. Her plan is to join the Glittering Court and start a new life in the New World, Adoria.

The Glittering Court is a school where select impoverished young women are chosen and given the opportunity to learn etiquette and skills of the upper class, to be married off to well off gentleman of their choosing.

While it may seem like a noble cause to help the common woman, it is a business venture for the founder and his family.

Each woman signs a contract before joining the Glittering Court and each girl is given a price to be paid upon marriage by the husband-to-be.

However, the heart wants what the heart wants and despite the rules, things do not go as planned.

Will the countess be discovered?

Will she ever find the happiness she desires?

OR

Will this adventure be more than she bargained for?

AND

Cost her everything?

I REALLY enjoyed this book! I loved the story line, the main characters as well as the friendships, and the story pacing was steady. However, the story is more of a historical read than a fantasy, the Governess, Viola, needed to be put in her place (along with others). It is to my understanding that there will be a few books after this one with a different main character. With that being said, there were several gaps in this story line that I hope will be filled as the story progresses.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Club Shadowlands By Cherise Sinclair (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have an erotic read to share with you today. So, if you are not 18 or older please skip this review.

Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair

Jessica Randall's car breaks down during a tropical storm and comes across an isolated mansion.

The owner agrees to allow her inside to wait out the storm.

She is quick to learn that the house is not a home, it is a private club.

Later on, she quickly signs the documents to be allowed past the entrance.

She is shocked by what she she sees, but cannot help  being aroused, as the private club is where a variety of fantasies are fulfilled.

The owner, Master Z, eases her into his world and cannot deny his attraction to this "Little One."

I enjoyed this book. It was a fast paced read. However, it was a typical BDSM read. There was nothing unique about the story line or the characters.

Down to You By M. Leighton (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, 2016 has been an amazing reading year for me, thus far! Today, I have a twisted but steamy romance to share with you!

Down to You by M. Leighton

While attending a friends bachelorette party, Olivia Townsend, mistakes the club owner, Cash Davenport, for the hired stripper.

When she wakes up the next morning in the apartment Olivia and her cousin share, she is shocked to see the hot club owner is in their kitchen.

Until she discovers that the man in her kitchen is not only her cousin's boyfriend, Nash Davenport. There has also been a case of mistaken identity.

There is no doubt that the twin brothers are sizzling hot.

Cash is the bad boy, the type that Olivia has always been attracted to. She has been burned too many times in the past and is determined to find a guy with a head on his shoulders and a mindset towards the future.

Too bad she see's everything her mother would approve of in the brother that is already spoken for.

However, a man is only as faithful as his heart is true.

The Davenport brothers have made it clear that they are interested in her.

As the lines become blurred, it only further complicates things when secrets are revealed. Secrets that could become deadly.

I LOVED this book! It is extremely fast paced, steamy and fun! I could not stop reading. This book has a major twist I did not see coming and when I was finished with the book. I was like NOOO, it can not end this way! HeHe. I will be reading the next book, Up to Me!

HAPPY READING!!!

Beautiful Distraction By J.C Reed (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have a love/hate book to share with you!

Beautiful Distraction by J.C Reed

Ava Cross was doing her friend a favor, when Kellan Boyd's Lambo and her Ford collided outside of a club.

Lets just say, lasting impressions were made. He was a sexy but smug, entitled, jerk and she was quick to put him in his place.

She was certain they would never cross paths again.

Three months later, Ava reluctantly agrees to a road trip with her friend Mandy. Their destination is Montana, where they plan to see Mandy's favorite band preform.

On the way there, things go from bad to worse. They find themselves lost in the middle of nowhere, they get caught in dangerous weather and end up with car troubles.

In an attempt to get help and find shelter to wait out the storm, she comes across a house. When she knocks on the door she is shocked to find a familiar face looking back at her.

Too bad it's not a friendly face. It is the hot, but entitled, jerk from three months ago.

AND

Due to extenuating circumstances, Ava finds herself at his mercy.

Was their paths crossing again a divine intervention?

OR

Just a twisted coincidence?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The story was fun and fast paced, the characters were memorable. The book was predictable at times yet there was a couple of plot twists and the ending was perfection.

Dirty By Kylie Scott (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have a hilarious and fun read to share with you!

Dirty by Kylie Scott.

Lydia Green was all set to marry and begin a future with the love of her life.

UNTIL

She received an anonymous video on her phone, exposing the groom's secret, his true love.

After viewing the video, she was quick to flee the scene. She hopped over a fence, ruined her wedding dress, snuck inside what she thought to be an empty house, through the bathroom window, and was discovered in the shower by the home owner.

Vaughan Hewson is a talented tattooed musician who has returned to his childhood home, after having a bit of bad luck of his own.

Can these two polar opposite strangers, who met under very unusual circumstances, become each others saving grace?

Or

Are they just meant to share a moment before moving on?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved the characters. The humor was laugh out loud funny. The book was fast paced and as a reviewer I pride myself on giving authors and readers a like, my honest opinion. With that being said, usually when I love a book I give it five stars! However, given the few issues I had with this book, I am going to have to give it four stars. In order to avoid spoilers, I can not go into details regarding these issues but, I can say it has nothing to do with the steamy, romance scenes. Despite the few issues, Kylie Scott is still a favorite author of mine.

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

Wicked Woman

Kill Me Softly By Sarah Cross

Hey everyone, I have an awesome fairy-tale retelling to share with you!

Mira knows very little about her past. Only the few facts that her godmother's have been willing to tell her.

A week shy of her 16th birthday, Mira decides to sneak out at night and travel to Beau Rivage in search of her parents grave site.

However, during her quest to find her parents, she learns that her birthplace is not what it seems and normalcy is a thing of the past.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! It is uniquely written and I loved the characters! However, the story did not hook me in right away, but once Felix was introduced, I was turning page after page. I will be reading Tear You Apart!

HAPPY READING!!!

Stuck-Up Suit By Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward (Adults Only)

Hey everyone, I have an amazing, opposites attract, standalone read to share with you!

Stuck-Up Suit by Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward

Soraya is blunt, speak your mind, type of person who works as an assistant for an advice columnist.

Her work day started out like any other day, as she boarded the train. Until, she overheard an irate business man on his phone. When the call ended he had reached his stop. He was so angry and in a haste to leave that he dropped his phone.

Soraya picked up the phone and put it in her purse, with the intention of returning it.

However, curiosity got the best of her and she decided to have a bit of fun first.

She quickly discovered that the rude, crude, and obnoxious suit was Graham Morgan.

When she finally decided to return it, he refused to even see her. He told her to leave the phone behind and leave.

She ultimately left but not before she gave the, Stuck-Up Suit, a piece of her mind and decided to mess with his mind.

Graham Morgan knew he was not a friendly person. After losing his mother and then witnessing acts of betrayal, he built internal walls and put all his energy and focus into his business.

Until, the bluntly, honest, woman who returned his phone uttered the one sentence that haunted his mind and left clues to her identity.

He had to find her.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It is very well written and hilariously addictive! The ending was very satisfying. More of an ending was not needed, but I wanted more. This is another book I will certainly be adding to my Favorites of 2016 list!

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always,

How long can they keep up the rouse?

Every addict eventually hits rock bottom, it is just a matter of time.

When that time finally comes, what will become of  the tight-knit pair?

Hey everyone, I am back with a hockey romance to tell you about!

However, she is less than pleased to be forced to attend a hockey game, to show her support for her hockey player stepbrother.

He managed to charm the pants off her

BUT

Is Alex Waters truly what he seems to be?

OR

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved the writing, the characters,(Violet's character's bluntness is a lot like how I am), the chemistry, and the ending! The humor had me laughing out loud, constantly. My oldest daughter is 11, she  kept asking me what is so funny and all I could tell her was "you need to read this book when you are older.". Did I Mention I Love You? By Estelle Maskame

Hey everyone, I have a family drama mixed with twisted step brotherly love.

Did I Mention I Love You? by Estelle Maskame

Reluctantly, sixteen year-old Eden Munro, agrees to visit her estranged father of three years for the summer in Santa Monica California, leaving her mother behind in Portland, Oregon.

In for a summer of awkwardness, she is hoping to enjoy herself from time to time.

Her father wastes no time trying to intertwine her into the family that he left Eden and her mother for. The new family consists of a stepmother and three stepbrothers.

Her stepmother and the younger stepbrothers seem nice enough, but not even a neighborhood barbecue could prepare her for the oldest stepbrother, Tyler.

He may be easy on the eyes but his bad boy attitude and questionable actions scream nothing but trouble.

Despite not knowing the true depth of what she got herself into when she agreed to visit, she is quick to make friends and is determined to make the most of her summer.

As the summer goes on, is Tyler truly a bad boy or is it just an act?

This summer could have more storms than California sunshine.

Overall, this book was enjoyable. However, the pacing was jerky. It started out slow then picked up, then slowed down. Towards the end, it finally picked up and held my interest from there to give a decent ending. While this story was not horrible it did not wow me. I did not find anything memorable about any of the characters. I have not decided if I will continue on with this trilogy or not.

HAPPY READING!!!!

A Thousand Boy Kisses By Tillie Cole

Hey everyone, today I will be sharing with you the sweetest but saddest book I have ever read! Warning: You will need an entire box of tissues for this read!

A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole

Poppy Litchfield and Rune Kristiansen's lives changed forever when they became next door neighbors and friends, at a young age. The two became inseparable and went on adventures together.

One day, Poppy left school early only to discover her Mamaw was dying.

The two were very close and her Mamaw would tell her that the best memories that she had were of the kisses that were shared with Poppy's Pawpaw.

Before she passed, she said she had a new adventure for Poppy to go on. She gave her a jar with a thousand paper hearts inside and told her to collect a thousand kisses from her soulmate, to tell her grandchildren about someday.

When Rune found out about Poppy's new adventure he was upset and was quick to lay claim to Poppy.

As time went on, their connection grew stronger.

Then, the unthinkable happened. Rune was advised that their family must return to their home country of Norway.

How will their relationship withstand distance and time?

They have vowed to remain in touch until they can be reunited again.

BUT

Time can change a lot.

Are they truly meant to be?

OR

Are they destined to be forever parted?

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK! It was the sweetest yet saddest book I have ever read! The writing was perfection, from the characters to the ending! The story was fast paced and there was never a dull moment. It destroyed me in the best possible way. This book is one that will stick with you until the end of time. I dare anyone to read this book and not cry, it is just not possible. This will certainly be on my list, Favorites of 2016! As well as my, All-Time Favorites list!
