After the sudden death of her father, Layken, her little brother Kel, and their mother move from Texas to Michigan.

She has lost her father and now the only home she and her brother have ever known. She knew she would be leaving it behind when she graduated with her friends, but life sometimes has other plans.

When she pulls the U-Haul into the driveway of their new house, her brother beside her, and their mother following behind, with her Jeep.

Her brother is quickly greeted by a neighbor boy of the same age. The two become fast friends as they hurry off to play.

However, Kel is not the only one to make friends quickly. Kel's new friend has an older brother.

Will Cooper is as responsible as he is passionate for poetry.

One night the two agree to go on a date, where he decides to show her his passion in action.

When the date comes to an end she goes to bed thinking that Michigan might not have been such a bad move after all.

Since losing her dad, her life has been a roller coaster of emotions and changes. Will her life ever feel normal again?

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book! It was extremely fast paced and kept me turning page after page! The story melted my heart. The characters had me feeling their sorrows and their joys.
