Ever Always By Diana Gardin

Hey Everyone! I hope everyone had a relaxing Sunday. The book I have to share with you is a leisurely brotherly love read.

Ever Always by Diana Gardin

Ever Allen had suffered years of abuse at the hands of her drunken father but one night had her fearing for her life.

Two guys who were very different but yet brothers always came to her rescue.

Ever had managed to get to her room, lock the door and call her boyfriend Sam Waters who reminded her about the hidden gun. In the next instant, her father entered the room threatening her for the last time before she pulled the trigger.

Sam refused to let her take the fall for her father. So he wiped her fingerprints and replaced them with his own, giving him urgency to leave town.

Sam promised her when the time is right they would start over far away from Duck Creek and begin a new life together.

Until then, he asked his brother Hunter to continue to take care of her.

That one event changed everything, it had always been the three of them.

Time apart can make or break a person.

Will a silver lining be found for all involved or will someone get a raw deal in more ways than one?

I LOVED this book! I was rooting for both brothers! Even though, it is impossible for both brothers to have their girl!

Fragile Reign By Stacey O'Neale

Hey everyone, I apologize that my blog entries have not been consistent this month. This month has been crazy busy with the holidays and appointments. Sometimes, there are not enough hours in the day. Yesterday I had an eye appointment and it did not help matters when they dilated my eyes. *HE-HE*

The book I will be sharing with you is a continuation. Fragile Reign is book two in the Mortal Enchantment series. (Thursday July 10, 2014 I posted my review of The Shadow Prince A Mortal Enchantment Novella and on Monday July 28, 2014 I posted my review of book one Mortal Enchantment.) If you have not read the novella or book one I highly recommend reading those before diving into Fragile Reign. Those that have read the reads I have mentioned above lets get to it!

Fragile Reign by Stacey O'Neale

As you may recall King Taron of the air court was recused but not before the effects of being held prisoner in the mortal world took its unfortunate toll.

The combination of aging and iron poisoning left many unsure if King Taron would be able to fully recover and remain as their king. All the uncertainty applied pressure for Kalin to become queen. Of course, it is not that simple. A halfling has never ruled over any court.

The council insists that she marry Sebastian, a full air elemental who has been her betrothed since birth.

Taron may have agreed to the arrangement but Rowan has Kalin's heart.

With Liana removed from the throne of the fire court it has caused chaos, acts of revenge, and destruction.

Rowan knows he must take his rightful place on the throne to not only set things right but to unite his court and rectify the wrong doings within his court.

He must prove himself to be the true King and take down Valac and Valac's misguided loyal followers.

Will doing what is best for Avalon mean putting duty before love?

I continue to LOVE this series! I always feel like I am right their with Rowan and Kalin every step of their journey. Ms. O'Neale pulls me into the world she has created with each book! When each book ends I find myself saying NOOO NOT YET!

Christmas Delights By Heather Hiestand

Hey everyone, I am sorry I have not shared anything new in the past few days. I had a personal family matter that held my attention for a little while. Without further delay lets jump right in!

Christmas Delights by

Allen-Hill became a widow at twenty-one when her husband died of an illness. Her marriage was so brief that her virtue remained intact.

Now, after the expected period of mourning she was on her way to Pevensey to attend a house party with her nine year old cousin Penelope in tow. Like any young child she loved stories. So, along their way she made up a story that caught more than Penelope's interest.

During their travels they came upon an inventor who was having trouble with one of his inventions, a horseless carriage. Victoria soon found out they were headed to the same place and gave him a ride.

Lewis Noble was an attractive man who did not go unnoticed by women. However, after proposing  to a woman years ago and being rejected
he had a chip on shoulder. Since then he submerged himself in his inventions, never taking notice in women that is until he met Victoria.

While at the party Victoria's father was so relentless about her remarrying that he gave her an ultimatum she could not ignore. However, the only man she wanted had no desire to be married anytime soon.

I liked the book for the most part. I LOVED the setting and the main story. BUT I did not really enjoy the fairytale that was intertwined and being told throughout. In my opinion it weighed the story down.

Ring In The Holidays By Katie Lane

Hey everyone, I cannot believe it is already December! Time seems to fly by quicker each year. (at least for me.) I hope everyone had a very happy and thankful Thanksgiving! I have an amazing book to share with you today!

Ring in the Holidays by Katie Lane

Ellie Simpson was a sex therapist who lived her life by her book. Until, she learned the truth about her ex fiancee Riley.

It was in that moment she decided for once in her life she would drink up, live it up and hit the dance floor.

After the New year countdown a mind blowing sexy hot man looked right at her like he wanted to say something. However, when the music started back up she was bumped from behind and stumbled.

The mysterious sexy stranger caught her and whispered something in her ear, with her senses overwhelmed she had no idea what she was nodding her head yes to.

Matthew  McPherson was an attorney and the youngest son of Big Al McPherson who owned a construction company. Matthew was used to women fawning over him. Yet, he took notice of more than their appearance.

During a conversation with his friend, Matthew insisted that studying a woman and knowing how to use the information is the key. His friend however believed  Matthews appearance was the reason he did not strike out with women.

Which, is what led him to reluctantly accept a bet.

His friend bet him a hundred dollars that if Matthew straight out asked if he could touch the breast of the woman they took notice of at the club  she would let him.

What Matthew had not expected was for the woman who was not his "type" to bring him to life.

Ellie had expected what happened in Vegas to stay in Vegas, not seep out to the real world. After all, they did not even tell each other their names.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!  Not only did  this book SNAP, CRACKLE and POP. it was very well written HILARIOUS FUN!!

HAPPY READING!!!

Best Wishes Always.

The French For Christmas By Fiona Valpy

Hey everyone, Are you guys in the Christmas spirit yet? If not, I have the story that just might get you a little closer to  feeling the Christmas spirit and feeling less Bah Hum Bug! :)

The French for Christmas by Fiona Valpy

Evie and Will  used to love cooking and running a bistro together but after the devastating loss of  their daughter the two have separated.

Evie's friends offer her the use of their countryside cottage as a way for Evie to get away from all things Christmas and  rejuvenate.

When she arrives she realizes it is not as peaceful as she thought it would be and has to get used to the sounds.

She decides to visit a market and along the way comes across a church that shows her how to find light in darkness.

After sometime she becomes ill. So, when Didier knocks on the door to ask if he may borrow a grater she is far from up to the task of  making a good impression. Though, it is a lasting one.

A little time away was supposed to be an escape from Christmas. However, Christmas may find her.

I really enjoyed this book it was heart wrenching and heartwarming at the same time. This book is a reminder of what is truly important and not just during the holidays but in everyday life. I also felt a connection with Evie having lost my youngest daughter when she was only 24 days old. Loss is not something to get over. The people we lose we must carry them in our hearts and souls as we continue to live until we are reunited again.

Inside Out By Lia Riley

Hey everyone today I have the conclusion of the Off the Map series to share with you today. ( I reviewed the first book Upside Down on August 15, 2014 and the second book Sideswiped September 14, 2014) If you have not read the first two I highly recommend doing so before picking up this book, As the books do not reiterate. For those of you who have read the previous two books lets get started.

Inside Out by Lia Riley.

When Sideswiped ended we learned that Bran and Talia had both gone off to follow their individual dreams.

Talia joined the Peace Corp, they sent her to Africa where she taught English as a second language to children.

Bran joined a marine activist organization determined to prevent illegal whaling in the Antarctic.
While Bran was a way he had some time to think. He missed Talia and pleaded his case for a chance to make things right.

Talia's reality was nothing like her dream. While there for four months she contracted malaria from a mosquito. Bran's reality was not like his dream either, he earned quite a celebrity type status due to his quick thinking actions while away but was far from pleased about his new found fame.

Bran quit the activist organization to be by Talia's side after learning she was in the hospital. Once Bran informed Talia's father of what had happened her father insisted on her recovering in California.

To say that Bran and Talia's father were on shaky ground is putting it lightly. However, Bran refuses to leave her side unless she says otherwise. He has a three month tourist visa so in that time he and Talia must figure things out.

Will the tide of change be too big for these two to ride together, or will they hold on tight and face whatever the future holds together?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! The trilogy overall was amazing! I was very satisfied with the conclusion. At the same time, I am sad it has come to an end.

Fearless By Priscilla West

Hey everyone I am back with another review! The book I have to share with you is a sequel to the book Reckless by Priscilla West. ( I reviewed Reckless on September 29, 2014) If you have not read Reckless yet, I highly recommend you read it before diving into the sequel as it starts right where Reckless left off with no reinterating. For those of you who have read Reckless let's get started.

Fearless by Priscilla West

If you can recall at the end of Reckless Jax and Riley had managed to escape the Reapers and Jax's father with their lives. However, not without injuries. As Riley was about to ride off with Jax, she made an impulsively dangerous decision.

She hurled a flaming bottle towards Jax's childhood home causing not only the house to be on fire but the Reapers bikes and his fathers car as well.

Once his father had been informed of the situation, he vowed vengeance.

They were on the road but still in fear. She advised for Jax to keep talking to her, when he told her to get him home. She reluctantly took him home as he wished instead of taking him to the hospital.

When they arrived at home they were relieved that they made it and were grateful the rest of the band was at a party.

As Riley was cleaning Jax up and tending to his wounds she noticed a severe multicolored bruise from his side to halfway across his body. Jax stated it is not as bad as it looks and that he has had much worse, promising her that if it got any worse he would call a doctor.

The morning after, Riley ran downstairs to find Jax looking better and telling his band mates he had sustained his injuries after winning a game of pool.

The night the band was to play Riley thought he should reschedule and give himself time to heal. He stated he needed to go on tonight not just for the fans but for a way to let go of everything that happened.

However, while on stage he had pushed his body to the limit. The result, forcing him to heal not only physically but also emotionally.

Will the method that helps him to heal be what rips them apart?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved that the author takes you from the first book right into the second, The story was raw and very realistic! I felt as though I was there right along with them step by step. They are the perfect book couple! Do NOT miss out on this incredible series and its heart stopping action.

Snow Angels, Secrets And Christmas Cake By Sue Watson

Hey everyone, I hope you are staying warm and cozy during this cold fall as we are forced to dive into a frosty winter. My go to philosophy during the cold is to hibernate with a book and a cup of hot cocoa. The book I have to share with you is a humorous story to jump start the Christmas spirit.

Snow Angels, Secrets and Christmas Cake by Sue Watson

Tamsin Angel is used to the finer things in life. Fancy clothes, the perfect house and has the plans for a Winter Wonderland Christmas set in motion. Her only concerns were to get her home ready for the holiday, take the perfect family photo and hold everything together.

Easier said than done, her husband Simon was working late again and it would be another year of having him Photoshopped into the family photo.

When the door chimed she thought it was Simon and that he must have been able to able to get away from work after all.

To her shocking surprise, it was not Simon but two bailiffs with a possessive warrant to take her home. At first, she thought it must be a big misunderstanding but was quickly informed her husband had known for weeks.

Within a split second she had lost her home and was penniless.

Her sister Sam offered Tamsin a place to stay with her and Sam's son Jacob.

Sam Angel lived a more modest life caring for her son and running her own business, The White Angel Bakery. While Sam is a hard worker and continues to put one foot in front of the other she struggles to let her boyfriend Richard into her heart. After losing her husband Steve, years before.

While the two sisters live under the same roof they are both faced with challenges they must over come. With all that life throws at them will they rise together or fall apart?

I liked this book and it was very funny through out the book. It pulled me in with its humor but I found it difficult for the story to keep its grip on my attention.

Zane was a demon, vampire, shifter mix who was known to many as The Ghost.

Zane and Janie were childhood friends since she was five years old. The two had met in dream worlds her entire life. So, you can imagine her shock when he entered the room.

As things were under way the key players voiced their demands. Demands starting boiling when one of Kalin's demands was access to Janie. However, it was no secret that Kalin wanted to mate with Janie.

When Suri was finished making his demands Zane surprisingly stood up and made demands of his own, that there will no Kurjan access to Janie and that although she will have choice over her own destiny she will be his.

No Time Like Forever By Zoe York

Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I have been enjoying the lovely autumn weather and of course, reading! I have a wonderful love story to share with you!

No Time Like Forever by Zoe York

Mari Beadie was a bartender at the one and only local pub but her passion was music. She loved being able to write lyrics between the lunch and dinner rush with the nights usually ending at a decent time. That is until, retired hockey player Chase Miller came back to town and became a regular.

As long as he was around she found it difficult to write, it annoyed her that his celebrity status attracted fans not customers.

Chase Miller retired from the sport after an auto accident, leaving him in a funk. So, he would go to the pub frequently to have a drink and some lunch.

One day while returning inside from taking a phone call Chase overheard the conversation between Mari and her persistent ex boyfriend, Joel.

Joel, would not accept the fact that they were never going to get back together.

Chase stepped in playing the part of her "boyfriend" making it believable with a kiss. After the  sparks flying kiss they shared neither one could stop thinking about it.

Meanwhile. back home Chase had a monkey of his own on his back.

His well meaning mother had been trying to encourage him to date again. So, to get her off his back he told her that he has a girlfriend.

He just had to convince Mari to play along.

The question is, how much of the act is just for show?

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! The way Chase was with Mari made my heart melt. This book was very touching! I WILL be reading more from Ms. York in the future!

This book was released October 21, 2014. If you love contemporary romance READ THIS BOOK!!

It is said that there is someone out there for everyone but does a person only have one soul mate?

Sophie Richards is a nurse who works in acute care and fills in to help with the Emergency Room when needed. More often than not she complains about her career choice yet is as compassionate and understanding with the patients as she can be.

While Sophie is at her best friend Samira's house for the evening, Samira informs her that she cannot attend the Jagger Bombs concert that the two had made plans to go see months ago.

Sophie was looking forward to going with her best friend but understands. Samira suggests Sophie  call Brett Nicholson, a man Sophie has never met to go in Samira's place. After weighing all her options she gives Brett a call.

Sophie starts to wonder what she has gotten herself into. It has been five years since she lost her first true love. After giving herself a pep talk she thinks of the concert ahead and takes her first step towards life and all its possibilities instead of just coasting and existing.

Sophie finds Brett HOT and is pleasantly surprised that he seems to like the same music she does as he mouths the words to the songs. After the concert he insists on walking her to her car.

While he walks her to her car she realizes how easy he is to talk to while enjoying playful banter, they arrive at her car before she knows it but not before the two agree to meet up again.

More Than Exes By Elizabeth Briggs

Hey everyone, I have a cute novella to share with you today!

More Than Exes by Elizabeth Briggs

I am sure you all have heard the saying good guys never get the girl.

Kyle Cross, keyboardist of the band Villain Complex knows the saying all too well. His true love broke his heart three years ago. He had a few girlfriends since then but none of them were Alexis Monroe.

Kyle, Hector and Jared were in LA for Battle of the Bands, UCLA vs USC,the winner would recieve a $1,000, a gig at a bigger club on Hollywood Blvd and a $1,000 donation to the winning college's music program. USC had won the past two years. So, UClA's Villain Complex was determined to put USC's Rubber Horse in their place.

Almost all the members of Villain Complex had arrived hours early but they were curious as to where their bassist Becca was.

Kyle noticed a girl was talking with the bassist of their biggest rival of the USC bands, Rubber Horse. He was shocked to find out that the girl who caught his attention was his ex.

Alexis Monroe had traded in her Princeton heels and tied over the shoulder cardigans for a leather jacket and studded boots.

She was supposed to be in Princeton not in LA at Battle of the Bands.

This may be Kyle's only chance to either get the closure he needs for his heart to heal or for a second chance with the girl who broke his heart.

I enjoyed this cute bad boy read! (said to be released October 28, 2014)

Hey everyone, I hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend. I hope everyone has been able to find time to read a good book, if you are currently searching for a good book I have a great one for you!

Elite by Rachel Van Dyken

After Tracey Rooks lost her parents at a young age, she was raised by her grandparents on a Wyoming farm. After losing her grandmother Tracey seizes the chance to secure a future for herself and to be able to help out her grandfather in the long run by entering to win an annual scholarship to attend Eagle Elite University. To her surprise, she wins and is anxious and nervous to leave her grandfather and begin college life.

When she arrives at Eagle Elite University it is not at all what she expected. Her grandpa had not even left yet when  two boys who were not exactly welcoming, confronted them.

Once she and her grandfather were informed that no parents are allowed in the dorms they said their goodbyes.

While rummaging through her purse to find her welcome packet that had been mailed to her. Nixon, one of the boys who had confronted her when she arrived was quick to lay out the following rules:

  • Do not touch the Elect.
  • Do not look at the Elect
  • Do not speak to the Elect.
  • Privileges are to be earned.
Nixon is in charge at the school, not the teachers or even the Dean. Nixon's small group of friends take orders from him and if anything shady occurs the school administrators look the other way.

When Nixon finds out she is not just the New Girl or Farm girl as the Elect call her
everything changes and not just the rules.Which, leaves her with more questions than answers. Once she gets the answers she seeks, will she be able to handle the truth and all that goes with it?

I LOVED THIS BOOK! It was a very unique, and imaginative college type story. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future! (said to be released October 14, 2014)

Sanctuary By Eden Bradley

Hey everyone, the book I have to share with you is for ADULTS ONLY.

Sanctuary by Eden Bradley

Devin Delaney let her friend Kimmie talk her into going to Club X on fetish night. Every Friday the wicked and kinky would enter the Ring if they wanted to be shown the S&M treatment.

Devin a graphic designer, who always felt she had to be in control was surprised how seeing the two women being flogged awakened desires in her she never knew she had.

Not only did the act itself excite her but the thought of being flogged by a certain professional Dom named Shaye Vincent brought a rush of need to her as well.

Shaye Vincent an owner of a consulting firm also worked at Club X for fun. His father's haunting words remained in his head, when you need someone you lose control of your life. These words and his past have kept him from being in a relationship.

Devin could not bring herself to give into temptation the first time she was at Club X but after no longer being able to clear her mind of the fantasy images of Shaye having control over her she walked into Club X and entered the Ring.

Upon her entering the Ring it awakened more than just desires between the two of them.

I LOVED this book! In the past I have not been able to read too many books of this nature. Most books of this type just feel forced and do not flow together. However, Ms. Bradley is a rare exception. Her book drew me in at the start and by the end I wanted a sequel! It was the perfect combination of chemistry, kinkiness and sweetness. I will be adding her to my must read author list!
(this book is said to be released December 02, 2014)

Handpicked By Dani Oden

Hey everyone I have a college suspense read to share with you today.

Handpicked by Dani Oden

Jill Holloway was not too enthused about the idea of joining a sorority. However, her best friend Lindy was to be third generation Greek and had talked Jill into rushing.

Jill was not too impressed with the previous preference events she attended but the last one, Iota Beta won her over. Upon leaving the Iota Beta house she notices guys lined up on the sidewalk the one frat guy who catches her eye took notice of her too and he handed her a rose.

Soon after, Jill was ecstatic to find out she had been accepted by Iota Beta. Lindy who was also accepted by Iota Beta did not share her friends enthusiasm.

Soon the two best friends stumble upon a fellow sister named Hannah and become fast friends.

Things quickly go from fun and dressy to unknown and mysterious. The sorority sisters gathered into a limo and were taken to a winery where a trick was played before the party officially kicked off.

While partying one of the girls had an accident and was taken away. She was never seen again after that night.

As things start to unravel the three quickly suspect that the sorority may be hiding more than just the average sorority secrets.

I liked how this story was suspenseful and kept me wanting to find out the truth right along with them.

The Fault In Our Stars By John Green

Hey everyone, I have decided to read a book from my personal T.B.R. pile. I know MOST everyone has read the book I have to share with you today. With that being said, I saw the film so I had to read the film to know the thoughts running through the characters heads. Normally, I read the books before watching the film adaption but not this time.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

Hazel Grace Lancaster's parents feel she is depressed so they insist she attend a support group for children and teens living with cancer. The day she puts up her best efforts to try to get out of going changes her life forever.

Hazel was diagnosed at the age of thirteen with cancer. Now, at the age of sixteen she has become a realist. When she first sees Augustus Waters she finds him attractive. However, she is intrigued by his words as he shares his story.

Augustus Waters lost his leg to cancer and uses a prosthetic but he did not lose his spirit in the process.

Augustus catches Hazel off guard when he compliments her and asks her to come over to his place to watch a film. He manages to convince her and not scare her away with his driving skills or lack there of.

The two connect over her favorite book An Imperial Affliction but the book ends abruptly leaving the reader with many unanswered questions. Augustus is determined to do whatever he can to get Hazel the answers she seeks. Even, if it means the two traveling to Amsterdam to get them.

Life is a gift that can be taken at any moment. Make every moment count. In the end we all will be someones memory.

I LOVED this book! I was pleasantly surprised at how  close the film adaption is to the book! Of course there were a few differences  off and on. However, I have not seen a film adaption so closely in-sync with the book in a VERY long time. WARNING read with a box of tissues near by. These kind of books do not normally make tears stream down but this book squeezed my heart and touched my soul.

Mia is an angry at the world self conscience young woman who is so fearful of losing the life that was, that she has a difficult time embracing the fact that she still has a life to live.

Together these teens help each other to find clarity and hope in a murky situation.

I really enjoyed the rawness of this story. This book was really well written. The characters drew me into their situations, feelings and struggles. (said to be released September 2, 2014)

I had a ROCKING good time with this next novella!

Rock, Rattle & Roll by Taryn Elliot & Cari Quinn

As you can imagine things for the honeymooners are already hot and heavy before getting to their destination. However, their sexual connection is kicked into overdrive.

The couple is used to warped speed ahead but even people with fast paced lifestyles can get thrown for a loop. Sometimes, the best things come from no plans at all. After all love does not guarantee uncertainty. Love is a connection of souls with the unspoken promise of embracing everything together.

Rented By Barbra Morgenroth

Hey everyone, I am back with another review! YAY!

 Rented by Barbra Morgenroth

Cressida Avery helps out her stepmother when needed at the family business, Avery Real Estate. She was enjoying a day at the beach with her best friend Neve, when her stepmother called asking her to show a property. When Cressida walked into the office she was introduced to Garrison Light.

Garrison Light was an attractive man who seems like what the residents of Tamaracks called weekenders. Weekenders were people of wealth who had summer homes in the small town but believed they were better than the town residents. However, as the saying goes things are not always as they seem. Maybe the same can be said for people.

I really enjoyed this book!  This book was a very fast paced enjoyable read that left me wanting more!
