Hey everyone, I love military books as much as the next! I do not know about you guys but when I think of military reads the word action comes to mind. I was pleasantly surprised this book was different.
Worth The Fall by Claudia Connor
Matt McKinney was suckered in by his cousin Rob to give him a ride to the beach. Tired of the normal beach bunny crowd and feeling rather annoyed Matt decided to go for a walk. Little did he know a walk to the shore and a little boys football would change so much.
Matt McKinney was a thirty four year old active duty Navy Seal who was on his last week of mandatory medical leave. When a little boy who was not very good at catch was frustrated Matt tried to encourage him to keep practicing. After finding out the boys father had passed he agreed to toss the ball around. After a short time had passed the boys mother came to tell him to go play with his sister.
Abby Davis was a mother of four soon to be five. She had planned to give her children a memorable vacation. Even though, her friend pulled out. What she had not planned on was meeting a sexy persistent gentleman who was not only interested in her but had a soft spot for her children.
Matt has guilt issues over the loss of a friend. Abby is afraid to let anyone get close after enduring a tragic past. Will their time together end at the beach or is this the beginning of a new path on uncharted territory?
I really liked this book! It has heart and all the feels! (said to be released September 9, 2014)
Best Wishes Always,
